Total lunar eclipse on schedule for very early Friday morning...viewing conditions look pretty good for us in the Capital Region. Some patchy clouds around but clear periods too. Expect temperatures in the 30s with light wind conditions.

Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers. This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder. Auschwitz took time.

Stop talking about attacks that are specifically against nonbinary people only in terms of how it will hurt binary trans people. A binary trans person who passes as cis is affected by Trump's orders even *less* than *any* nonbinary person, bc they *don't have to detransition to go stealth*

I want to take this opportunity to share something I recently learned about the authors David and Leigh Eddings. TW: severe child abuse In 1970, they both served a year in prison after pleading guilty to 11 counts of child abuse. They kept their toddlers in a pen in the basement and tortured them.

Some Europeans get so mad when Americans identify with their cultural roots. But most of them are descendants of the people who made my ancestors feel they had leave their country, families, and homes to cross an ocean where they knew they'd be denied jobs and called slurs in the first place.

Trans and intersex people in the UK need you to be loud about the new "deception as to sex" guidance released which makes trans and intersex people legally guilty of rape if we don't disclose our gender identity and/or the sex we were assigned at birth before sex. This especially harms sex workers!

I think it's important to understand that the rhetoric around transmasculine people re. irreversible damage etc. is less of actual sympathy or concern for the trans person themselves, and more addressed to the Patriarch: "Look at what transgender ideology is doing to Your Property".

We see it with how they talk to transmasculine people, & it gets reinforced when talking about detrans women - with the constant "they're mutilated, infertile, unable to breast feed" makes it clear what the real issue is: we were supposed to be wives, mothers, always available for sexual access.

So, I'm not the type to have a strong "favorite" when it comes to media. But based on the movies and TV I tend to enjoy and admire most, mathematically, John Goodman is my favorite actor and the Cohen Brothers are my favorite directors. It's just math.
