Whoaaaa ... this solar storm is so strong, they are seeing it up in Coonabarabran (latitude: 31 degrees south!). That's 200 km NW of Sydney! Coonabarabran sits on the edge of one of the only dark sky parks in the southern hemisphere, out in the Warrumbungles. We have big telescopes near there!
