Having an 18 year old who can’t seem to get a job or speak a European language makes me worry that such a scheme would reduce his prospects although I am generally in favour. A bit conflicted.

Isn’t part of the problem a lack of talking therapy and too much reliance on strong antidepressants pushed by big pharma which people struggle to come off.

I don’t think Labour Party MPs ( or any mp) should profit from rental properties.

I wonder if Jenrick is about to join reform? Or will Elonia switch his allegiance to Tories if they are willing to say stuff that even Farage thinks goes over the line

It’s easy to be seduced by arts, drama and sports facilities. You realise half way through your kids don’t actually use any of these if you child isn’t arty, sporty or into drama.

There are plenty of 18 year olds who do not want to go to uni who could learn the skills. Why can’t we invest in training colleges that do full time courses post 18.

Private landlords know they can get away with failure to repair. They can carry on collecting rent whilst tenants suffer ill health as a result

How else are we supposed to fund all the stuff that needs fixing? Why is everyone so anti tax? You want decent public services we have to fund them.

Isn’t that the plan of the likes of Littlewood to concentrate wealth in the hands of the asset owning rich and let the masses live in poverty?

Spoke to a lady yesterday whose rent for a one bed flat is £1650. Walls covered in mould and carpets damp. UC pays most of rent balance from disability benefits. Public money going to private landlords to provide woefully poor housing.

I really don’t get this argument that private schools have loads of SEN pupils. I put 3 kids through private school and SEN support was always an add on not included in fees. For serious SEN my experience is kids better served in state system. All private schools want is good grades.
