Reason #748 why my mom's cooler than yours: As a 73 year old white lady she admitted she calls 10 senators a day to leave voicemails about the shit state of the country due to trump, and also kinda turned it into crank calls by putting on a southern accent and persona for southern states.

Oh no. The horror. Not me disengaging from yet another long time client because they are fraudulently using COVID funds. Definitely not. This isn't now a regular thing. Nope. They don't cry and say how unfair it is for me to drop them while never thinking twice about the fraud. Nah.

I'm an accidental genius. Made a dnd character a foreigner. Common is her second language, in which she is verbally fluent but illiterate. Ancient scroll? She shrugs and tosses it over her shoulder. Carved doorway? Kinda pretty. Cursed engraved jewelery? Pockets it to sell. Can't read the curse.

A client asked me, because my car is an old hybrid, "aren't you thinking of electric? Maybe a tesla?" I replied "I don't want a swasticar" and her whole face changed as she tried not to laugh, and then just nodded and called it a good name.

When I changed my phone yesterday they texted my mom a permissions request. They guy was stumped. I'm the account holder. I suggested it's because mom's number is older. Me: It was my high school number. I gave it to her when I left for school so I'd always know her number. Two older women: AWWWWW

Part of the joy in DnD is fantasy, so in addition to my normal escapist dump stats, I include common sign language for all my characters. I wanted to learn to sign in real life but don't have the range of motion in my hands. Fantasy accommodation for one disability via fantasy lack of another.
