Fully funded and oped PhD Scholarship at the Department of Business Humanities and Law, Copenhagen Business School www.cbs.dk/cbs/jobs-paa...

In the last 3 months of 2024, I applied for 51 academic jobs; 3 in Denmark, 48 in the US. After waiting and waiting and waiting, the results are in: I made it to one shortlist, had one Zoom interview, and received zero offers. This market is so brutal. In other words: I'm still looking for a job!

Today, Mute Compulsion has been out for two years. Huge thanks to everyone who has read, discussed, recommended, criticized, reviewed, edited, cited, published, bought, taught, and translated it. Publishing this book has been a such a wonderful, surprising, overwhelming, and moving experience. 1/3

I am excited to announce that my article “Political Theology: Origins, Concepts, and Contradictions” is now available ahead of publication in @theoryculturesociety.org. It can be accessed via doi.org/10.1177/0263...

My book is finally out! Buy it here: unipress.dk/udgivelser/a...

From the Danish TV series ‘Matador’.

"Contrainte muette: Le pouvoir économique du capital", the French translation of my book "Mute Compulsion", will be out on May 30, translated by @prada-meinhof.bsky.social, designed by Léa Gallon, published by Édition Sans Soleil. I hope to be in Paris for the book launch.

Fresh Danish Marxism from my man Mikkel, the only one of us who absolutely refuses to participate in the silliness of social media, whether over there or over here illwill.com/class-strugg...

This tweet is making the rounds on the other place and deserves to be seen here as well x.com/total_exit/s...

Moving myself out of the lurkers' backseat here: I'm a critical urban scholar, studying capitalism and post-capitalism in the city and currently interested in waste, urban metabolism and diverse economies. Based in Copenhagen at the moment and proud almost-Danish member of Danish Marxism

"Wars alter the present in order to shape the future. (...) The difference between the war and the genocide is that the genocide destroys present and past in order to destroy the presence of a future." - Dr. Ghassan Abu-Sittah

What a financial weekend - I also finally got hold of my physical copy of this beauty of a book

Delighted to share our call for papers for the 2025 Women in the History of Political Thought conference. We welcome papers related to women's contributions to political thought. We look forward to receiving your submissions! womeninhpt.com

My review in Hegel Bulletin of "Hegel's Century" by Jon Stewart is (finally!) online. Long story short: I think it's great but misses out a bit on telling a bigger story about the relationship of the thinkers under consideration to the wider problem of modernity. doi.org/10.1017/hgl....

My book on the Danish cooperative movement will be published on January 9th. It tells the story of how farmer cooperatives have transformed agriculture, nature, and the conditions for people and animals over the past 140 years. Available for pre-order: unipress.dk/udgivelser/a...

Found it!

Does anyone know where I can find this letter in the original French? @routhier.bsky.social , @dkmarxsoc.bsky.social

Delighted to be part of a special issue of OLR on ‘Derrida and the World’, where I discuss Derrida's reading of Descartes in unpublished seminars, dealing with Descartes' travels, Cartesian space, and the relation between the natural light of reason and the natural language in which it is expressed.

Sharing this to remember that this (objectively amazing!) resource exists, only to probably never actually use it.

I raged all yesterday afternoon over a book like this

The rate of Danish pigs to Danish Marxists is 343,750:1 ☹️ These numbers must be turned
