Love Wendell Berry. ❤️

If Biden, as president, had fallen asleep at the Pope’s funeral, it would have been the top story in America for days. Trump falling asleep at the Pope’s funeral today won’t be, because our media is broken.

Jasmine Crockett: "The problem is that Americans thought it was okay to take a full fledged criminal and make him the President of the US and then they want to act aghast when he does criminal things. Let me tell you, we have a thug in charge of the US and if we don't wake up we may not have a US"

A Gaelic Blessing by John Rutter (1978), thanks to Dan Clendenin at Journeys with Jesus. This was read aloud during my most recent visit to Salisbury Cathedral, as I sat in the Trinity Chapel, contemplating the blue-toned Prisoners of Conscience window, and it was beautiful.

“The children are always ours, every single one of them, all over the globe; and I am beginning to suspect that whoever is incapable of recognizing this may be incapable of morality.” -James Baldwin

I received this gorgeous El Águila de Veracruz baseball cap and a beautiful hummingbird necklace from my good friend, Liz, a fellow teacher, in México. So grateful! She's helped with my Spanish so much. ❤️⚾️

Firefighter training at Salisbury Cathedral, Easter holidays.

Sunday night... I always feel a bit like a child before a new teaching term starts again.

The Mets are on fire and we're not even in May yet! A little disconcerted, but thrilled. Let's Go Mets! 💙🧡

Just a short poem/musing I wrote this afternoon, in the park. #poetry

St. Óscar Romero's shrine at St. George's Cathedral, Southwark, London. Grateful to have had the opportunity to visit and pray today. ❤️

I lit a candle for Pope Francis at St. George's Cathedral in Southwark today. He was a much-needed voice for the poor and for migrants, for love and acceptance, for justice and peace, and I will miss him. With gratitude for his leadership, and prayers that his successor will continue his work. ❤️

As a Brit who loves Canada (which Brit doesn't?), this gave me a little moment of childish joy. 😅❤️🇨🇦🇬🇧

Honestly, as a primary school teacher, children know what's up! They are so compassionate, so switched-on, so brave, so idealistic (in the best way), so quick to spot injustice and to call it out. It's a privilege to be around their beautiful chaos and goodness every day. ❤️

As a teacher who has worked with hundreds of children & adults with autism, this hurts the heart. It's a shame that people who do not understand nor appreciate the wide range of beauty & diversity in human beings, made in the image of God, have so much power to harm those they fail to understand. 💔

Tomorrow, April 17th, is my beloved Grandad's heavenly birthday. He was, and still is, one of the greatest influences on my life. 22 years in the Royal Air Force to coaching wheelchair basketball at an international level, leading the British and Jamaican teams to Paralympics... An inspiration. ❤️🙏

Farage saying he would "go to war with teaching unions" if he became PM. We cannot let Farage anywhere near power. We don't need a racist, xenophobic, unserious Trump imitation.

Remembering #OnThisDay Seamus Heaney, born 13th April 1939.

Let’s be clear. When the President defies the Supreme Court, it is the role of Congress to remove him from office. Full stop.

Steve Kerr wore a Harvard basketball shirt after the Warriors’ win tonight: “Yes, this is me supporting Harvard. Way to go. Way to stand up to the bully.”

❤️🙏

This new Mike Piazza photoshoot made my day. Love the black jacket! #LGM 🧡💙

I’m going to say something that shouldn’t be controversial but will be. If you are a Christian, you can support border control and immigration being legal vs illegal. You CANNOT celebrate deportations and get off on the cruelty, and be a real Christ follower. Period

I agree. This doesn't mean bury your head in the sand... it means continue to absorb the things that bring you life and remind you of the beauty and goodness in the world. Music, books, art, conversation, nature... all so vital. ❤️

Utter inhumanity. Praying for these men, and watching in horror from the UK. Every single person should be shouting about this and protesting. It is unfathomable to me how many people who claim to be Christian are okay with this, even supporting it. I think Jesus would be weeping.

Support & prayers from the UK. I admire Senator Van Hollen for his courage. The Trump administration is committing brazen abuses of power, dehumanising & stripping away the dignity of people without due process. It's an affront to the soul. Claiming to be Christian while doing it is true hypocrisy.

Just popped out to the library here in Wales, and can confirm it's definitely the big coat today!

Tony Benn was born on this day, 100 years ago. His words are as relevant and powerful as ever. ❤️

Thanks, Elon.

A good night for humanity.

👏👏👏

Senator Booker talking about his faith moves me. True faith is wrestling, contemplating, doubting, trusting, loving, falling into the beautiful mystery, humbling oneself, serving others. Booker embodies this. The cruel, elitist 'Christianity' of Vance et al is shown up as empty, selfish ideology.

Totally fell for the "Miss, there's a spider in your hair" April Fool this morning. Gotcha'd by a six-year-old. 🤦‍♀️
