What a super talk.

NAMA & AMET CPD Extravaganza Jenni Ingram - The little words matter This key note will explore how subtle factors in mathematics education can reshape our perspectives on teaching, learning, & the role of educators, drawing on research from diverse fields to foster deeper understanding & reflection.

We are looking forward to members joining us at our CPD Extravaganza, alongside colleagues from AMET, on Friday & Saturday. There's an action packed programme of key note sessions and workshops for everyone to attend. Keep an eye out on our social media channels for updates.

We’re up and running with the CPD Extravaganza. Stef Sullivan is helping us to explore how beginning maths teachers can be supported to develop a ‘way of being’ that enables them to be inquiring, resilient professionals. #cpdextravaganza

Geoff Wake is kicking off the day with his keynote about behaviours for leading and participating in collaborative lesson research. #cpdextravaganza

Exploring aspects of number sense we want children to develop. With Judy Hornigold, the #cpdextravaganza is exploring how principles/approaches underpinning maths mastery can support learners with difficulties in maths.

Mike Askew’s keynote is taking us towards the end of our #cpdextravaganza. We’re exploring how a learner’s emotions has implications for our work as mathematics teacher educators.

Been writing again. It feels good. Started with girls but moved to curriculum. Thinking about substack. Anyone got any advice?

We've collectively moved on from differentiation by prior attainment and now rightly have high expectations of all children. Personalisation in maths isn’t about different worksheets; it’s about crafting tasks that allow all pupils to engage while offering opportunities for deeper thinking.

What a fantastic three days with teachers exploring how best to facilitate children’s mathematical creativity. My favourite quote and for me most indicative of our #mathsnoproblem schools is, ‘Even our low attainers do well on the reasoning paper’.

Merry Christmas everyone

On my way. It’s the @mathsnoproblem.bsky.social Community Conference tomorrow.

I’m looking forward to this great day of CPD. See you there.

Choose any five consecutive positive whole numbers, and multiply them together. Did you get a multiple of 120? Will you always get a multiple of 120?

Hello friends old and new, I'm responding to the Curriculum and Assessment Call for evidence. Can anyone share specific evidence on the impact of the MTC? I have opinions and material to support them but lack systematic evidence. Please repost and tag anyone who might help. Thanks!

Non-maths post but my young dogs have had so much fun this morning.

I’m considering all things assessment and curriculum today. One of the joys of working for @mathsnoproblem.bsky.social

Only 5 days to respond now. Make sure you do.
