Two movies commenting on the male gaze were up for best picture, best director, best screenplay and best actress. One made by a woman, and one made by a man. The one made by a man won all four categories - but that's not the real irony. #oscars 1/2

Urgent trans and nonbinary update: I called a passport office and got a sympathetic rep who told me officially any information about gender markers is posted online. Unofficially, they *literally whispered,* they have heard the same rumors about passports being confiscated.
