Bottom line: This is good news for Öztürk. Her attorneys wanted Judge Casper to keep the case in Massachusetts, but their fallback position was for her to transfer the case to Vermont. Either one avoids the notoriously conservative Fifth Circuit, which Louisiana (the govt's choice) is part of.
