I grew up in a family with differing political views. The family joke was that when Mam & Dad went up to vote they canceled each other out. They were married 66 years. I have 4 siblings. We all think differently. We love each other & always will.

For the love of all that's good, why is this? It's so petty and narrow-minded and ungrateful to cut off relations with your own parents because of politics.

In DC 1970's, a Jewish refugee from the 1930's asked another German to come work in her boutique. The new employee soon confessed her identity - she was the daughter of Rudolf Hoss commander of Auschwitz. The Jewish lady did not hate Brigitte for who her father was. She stayed in her employ 35 yrs.

I've seen posts on TikTok about people divorcing family members because they voted a way they didn't like. This is a tragedy. Learn to live with family members who think differently to you. They're Family.
