Have 'watched' 22 episodes of The Mentalist this past week and thank goodness people are beginning to ask what the hell is the CBI.

Got a story rejection in two and a half hours today. My email account's head is still spinning.

Guys, maybe strange women lying in ponds distributing swords was a better procedure for selecting leaders than we previously gave it credit for

Generally dislike covers. Especially ones of Tracy Chapman's Fast Car.

I have a story 'Seance at the World's end' in Issue 8 out in March. Thanks to these wonderful people for including me :) suburbanwitchcraftmagazine.wordpress.com

First ever rewatch of The Others (2001) and it is quite the experience.

'Spicy horror stories exploring the darker side of human desires'. My short story 'The Collection of Arturo Valdez' is in this anthology being released this very special Valentine's Day. :) www.blackharepress.com/blood-lust/

Babylon is one hell of a movie. Beautifully made, well acted, crazy twists and turns, and with the saddest of endings which still offers a bit of hope.

The Red Shoes (1948) has one of the great villains.

Places which 'will not answer in case of rejection' should maybe not run magazines. Just saying.

Got an England-set / Serial killer twins short in this. Thank you so much to Stone's Throw and RHP Press for including me. :)

There was an Alfred Molina Murder on the Orient Express?

Well, I FINALLY un-installed the Twitter app from my phone. Yesterday's obnoxious timeline was enough of that nonsense for me, thank you very much.

Nightswim seems to want to be like The Shining but is more the second half of Poltergeist 2. #horror

One particular scene is absolute nightmare fuel.

Finishing the year with a Brian De Palma film that's a half remake of Vertigo. John Lithgow is bloody boo hiss great in it.

Celebrate for them.

Hangman with Al Pacino and Karl Urban is... watchable merely as an exercise in how bad a serial killer flick can be.

@kuupaa.bsky.social Question for you. How is it I can access research bites latest episode without a spotify log in on my laptop but not on my Samsung phone? I could access the previous episode on my phone without a log in.

Final J-League round of the season. Gonna need to wrap up warm for this, Irish man.

I assume my drunken state explains why this woman has a 60-something's hand.

Got hips like Cinderella doesn't get enough respect.

@kuupaa.bsky.social Do you have a podcast?

I finished Moby Dick. Applause, please!

I have 18 pages left in Moby Dick. I hope he makes it.

'Breaking the Habit' could easily just be nun-centred erotica.

Perfectly executed www.thebeaverton.com/2024/11/opin...

Just finished listening to a four hour episode by the Pod Mortem on Possession (1981). Superb stuff. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/p...

400 pages into Moby Dick. This chapter is about the tail.

One short story acceptance and two rejections in 24 hours. The highs and the lows :)
