Only six more days to submit your abstract to the Conference in Feminist and Gender Theory!

@lsepoltheory.bsky.social now this is a book to read - the great T.J. Clark

Hot on the heels of this news: just heard that @yordamkitap.bsky.social y.social has acquired the Turkish translation rights! Türk yoldaşlarının Yurttaş Marx'ı okuyabilecek olmalarına sevindim ✊

Got a footnote reference in Skinner’s Liberty as Independence (p.206). It made me very happy - I came across Quentin’s work as a 6th former in 1979 (we met much later) - on and off he has been part of the background of my career. If I’d known at 17 I might get a footnote …

Cracking footnote on p 206 …

¡Próximamente!

Today at 4pm (registration required).

Very grateful to @timchristiaens.bsky.social for this generous review, which nicely highlights the historical and contemporary value of seeing Marx's texts as political interventions

Karl Marx’ conversion from republicanism to communism in 1844 was conducted through the 19th-century equivalent of a passive-aggressive text message to your roommate: a formal letter to his housemate Arnold Ruge over hot gossip. Excerpt from @brunoleipold.com’s Citizen Marx.
