One reason we argue against vertical leadership in favor of redundancy, horizontality, and decentralization is that our oppressors would love to be able to paralyze us simply by knocking out a few leaders. All of us must be capable of initiating and directing resistance. crimethinc.com/tce#leaders

Helen Chu is one of the ousted #ACIP members. She spoke to me today about her grave concerns for future vaccination policy and vaccine access in the United States. www.statnews.com/2025/06/10/c...

:o Ah... This is not mere conservatism. We are in open conflict with reactionaries.

:o The people are not quite that intimidated...

:o I'm starting to think that these people have an undeserved belief that they're reliving the 1960s in the US. :b In reality, they sound much more like tattletales in school.

if you ever feel heavy because you care deeply about injustice, suffering and ecological destruction, remember that a trillion dollar propaganda machine was built to make you numb and it didn't work on you ✨

:p It's difficult out there when you think of yourself as a messianic figure in a computer game, only to be routinely shown reality.

:o Rather striking similarities to the twelve Disciples of Jesus of Nazareth during the raid by Roman legionaries.

:o Largely sabotaged by hurricane enthusiasts.

:o Again: the Second Reconstruction /must/ succeed.

People ran pieces about how the discipline of the movement was actually proof of a disturbing and dangerous groupthink. We got whole columns of people complaining about having to speak with official spokesmen.

:o Ah. I believe the "theory" is becoming more of an observable law of nature.

Protests work. Always have, always will.

:b ... History is moving backwards.

:3 Due to my lateness, let's have a little fun. ^u^ I'll be here until 00:00, Eastern Standard Time in the US.

:p This mood seems to be catching on...

:3 I think a lot of you could use this. :o And /others/ of you should take it as motivation to be good crows.

:o One should never apologize on behalf of the criminality of lawless leaders.

They believe the end of liberal democracy is righteous and proportionate punishment for weird bums like you and me being mildly annoying.

:o The fool should have realized that immigration raids would trigger protests.

:p Spain, the Netherlands, and Denmark are also going to require reconsideration...

a "no kings" protest hits different in the UK

:o State terrorism.

:o Terrifying as that is, for the sake of your homes, your families, your friends, and communities: you must always answer "no".

:o Very interesting that Mr Roth's body of work may be more introspective than at first blush.

some boycottings are easier than others

the thing about sending the guard and ICE goons and the marines to six different cities is that it becomes much harder to maintain the fiction that all of these cities suddenly exploded into crime simultaneously out of nowhere

:o Rather ignominious, really...

:b It /shouldn't/ be that difficult...

I actually think that ridiculing fascists by being cool and doing silly things despite their efforts to look tough is a viable and effective strategy. You can win the propaganda war by flooding media with images like this.

β€œICE protestors […] are turning what the tech companies see as an asset into a vulnerability, and they’re exploiting it. There is no one around to stop them […] They have turned these indifferent and extractive technologies into instruments of protest. They are weaponizing the accountability sink.”

:o /Saying/ and /doing/ are very far apart.

Funny Chinese myth: The Stove God judges a family's morals by watching over their kitchen. Chinese people believe what you eat reflects who you are, which isn't too farfetched. At New Year, we offer sticky candies to his altar. Supposedly, it glues his mouth shut, so he can't rat us out. Yep.

:p Oh, you can never escape a good Meme.

:o The President is pushing towards a point of no return, gleefully convinced he will not be stopped.

:o The cowardice of subservience will be as memorable the heroism of sincerity.
