Dr. Ahmed Abdelmoneim, assistant professor and veterinary toxicologist, was lauded by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers & Scientists in its “40 Under 40” program. His research focuses on how environmental pollutants affect early brain and hormone development.

Congratulations to Dr. David Zeman, our 2024 Distinguished PhD Alumnus Award winner. A 1986 graduate, Dr. Zeman has made vast contributions to veterinary diagnostic medicine through his leadership at South Dakota State University and the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians.

Congrats to Dr. Shannon Dehghanpir, who was celebrated on April 24 as our 2024 Distinguished Master’s Alumnus Award winner. A three-time graduate of LSU, she serves as associate professor of clinical pathology at LSU Vet Med, where she is a valued teacher, mentor, and colleague. #veterinary

We welcomed deputies from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office to LSU Diagnostics as they retrieved the cremated remains of their K-9 officer, Macho. Macho lost his life in the line of duty recently. It was an honor to provide a private cremation for such a dedicated partner.
