Literally just obsessed with these small creatures that live in my house and perpetually smell like warm laundry and fresh air. #crazycatlady #cats #tuxedocat #orangecat

Welcome to The Little Red Schoolhouse! I am so glad you’re here. I’m excited to connect with new and old followers alike, on a new platform! #homeschool #homeschoolers #homeschooling #secularhomeschoolers

It’s impressive how quickly I forget about text based social media. Aaaanyways I’m on @skylight.social now, with the same handle. So find me there for videos, which I am significantly more consistent with!!

The magic of waking up to snow ❤️

Stellar is very happy to help unpack the homeschool closet

1. Car battery in Subaru is dead, ok, use BMW 2. Groceries get returned before delivery because driver discovers jar of olives leaked everywhere, ok, reorder 3. Second delivery has 5 things now out of stock 4. Kid falls (is ok) 5. Back window falls out of BMW, unprompted WTF Monday?? Time for bed…

When the human child has the audacity to get into YOUR mom’s bed (anyone else have a one-human animal? Beans says “no thank you” to everyone but me) #cats #tuxedocat

It’s been over a year since we lost the Original Butter Cat, and I still miss hearing that sweet little Bengal flop down the stairs every morning for toast, but Stellar has done a really good job of stepping in and taking over Butter Cat duties. I appreciate that I am never alone for breakfast 😻

You’d think having 2 winter babies would help save on clothing costs, but that doesn’t work when your 3rd is the biggest of all of your babies, and her sister was a preemie. We’re solidly in 3-6mo now, which big sis wasn’t in until the peak of the summer heat. Off to purchase long-sleeves I guess!

No words (or filter) needed #pnw #nature #sunset #home

Just a mom in America trying to raise the next generation and not spiral while her country circles the drain. What is your current coping mechanism? #homeschool #family #adayinthelife #ditl

Playdoh is a fun “fidget,” and the kids often use it to create something relevant to what we’re reading about (even when it seems like they aren’t paying any attention). Today we learned about Edwin Binney, the creator of Crayola crayons, continuing our inventors/inventions unit study! #homeschool

We all heard Trump mention the election was rigged (he said it twice). And that Elon helped in Pennsylvania. Soooo we’re all flooding the FBI with calls to investigate them, right? We’re not just going to sit around complacently and shrug our shoulders like it seems like y’all are doing, right?

We really are living out the final act of revenge of the sith right now. How is this real life right now…

Our homeschool focus for the day

Today we honor Martin Luther King Jr., and all that he stood for - “We need leaders not in love with money but in love with justice. Not in love with publicity but in love with humanity. Leaders who can subject their particular egos to the pressing urgencies of the great cause of freedom.”

“We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.” - Dr. Martin Luther King

Stay strong. For us, this is more than just a job-it’s a calling. Together, we will stand to protect our parks, environment, and wildlife. Four years… we remain hopeful that the attack on our public lands will be less brutal this time.

New Yorkers took over this billboard today in honor of Tortuguita, murdered by the cops for defending the Atlanta forest two years ago.

TikTok’s disappearance and then reappearance shows how important it is to have multiple places to go. Yes, life is easier when it’s all integrated through one site or app, but it can go down like THAT. Spread out, use multiple apps, don’t rely on any one company to care about your interests

Marylanders aren't distracted by Donald Trump's TikTok charade. He is playing savior because he has no plans to lower the cost of groceries or protect your healthcare. Don't let him get away with it.

Is there an alternative to Messenger Kids with the same features (manage multiple accounts, can oversee what kids are saying/doing, ability to FaceTime, can be used on multiple different platforms etc) to help kiddos stay connected to their friends? It’s the one barrier to me deleting my FB 😩
