Can't remember who posted it months ago but it's clear now that Trump made a deal to sell the entire U.S. government to Musk in exchange for his support. That's why he's not mad about being overshadowed. He gets to stay out of jail, Musk gets the power to coerce any individual/group in this country

I’ve repeatedly tried, and break down within weeks. There’s just nothing even remotely competitive for regular life stuff.
I do not have the time or energy to drive a car to a store every time I need some little trinket.

I think the fascists who are now carrying out a coup in the US have spent the last 8 years conducting a Criminal Interview of the Democratic party.
They've concluded, correctly, that the Democrats are incapable of making the mental shift required to do what's necessary to defend themselves. 5/

any politics that does not have an explicit way to handle bad faith actors, tolerance paradox, compelling necessary collective action, etc is useless in the modern era

Millions of people spent years "paying attention" to fascism. That's what got us here.
It's not too late to plug into an activist community and start actively fighting these fascist goons with concrete, real-world action.
But damn if it isn't ALMOST too late.

i’ve long said you won’t find much more consistency on the right than “[slur] go home” but it’s amazing every time. the baby brain that thinks the united nations exists to control the united states, and not the other way around. it’s located *in america* guys holy shit

oh man, drafting a whole thread would be wildly good (I don’t think twitter ever had that) but I don’t think it would be needed for table stakes.
per device, text only. even that would be enough to let me capture deranged joke ideas at 2:00am and then decide if I want to post them in the morning

My fear is that the information environment in which people could exist to believe that is the one that won't ever expose them to the things he is doing
