Game audio folks - what has your experience been with video game music packs? I’m finishing up an album of Animal Crossing inspired tracks, but starting to wonder whether releasing as an album or as a music pack makes more sense. Or maybe both?? Curious what you all suggest

I’ve heard bits and pieces of it before, but today was the first time I really intentionally listened to the Animal Crossing: City Folk OST. It’s so good! Like all AC soundtracks, the melodies are super economical, but still go hard. Definitely a masterclass in using a little to make a lot

Just realized I’ve never actually shared my music here! I put out a short album of Zelda-inspired town themes last year, check it out if you’re a fan of Zelda music and let me know what you think. Here are all the links to stream it: tr.ee/zPQHyKw03P

Just finished filing our taxes AND got notified that my parking citation was successfully contested! What a way to start the day haha

Also - Alaska was beauuutiful. Got a chance to walk on top of a frozen lake to see this glacier, unforgettable experience

Gave a couple of talks at a music festival last week - one on Scoring for Games and another on Recording Techniques. I assumed the Music for Games talk would be less attended with it being more niche, but it had a solid turnout with some really eager attendees! Super cool to see 😊

Recorded a mini electronic jam with some of my more unique synths 😊 #microfreak #ewi #pocketoperator youtu.be/vQbgSJ7psm4?...

Registered for GDC this week! Had to miss last year, but excited to be back and reconnect with my Game Audio friends 😊Let me know if you’re going, too!

I’ve got so much music I’m itching to finish and release… just as soon as I get over this flu 🤧

Even with all the leaks, it’s still great to finally get an official reveal! Awesome getting a sneak peak of Mario Kart 9, too. Gonna be tough waiting until April to learn more! https://youtu.be/itpcsQQvgAQ?si=4_pujPfdWzYrUWHi

Thank you to everyone who listened to my music in 2024, and to those who trusted me to help bring your projects to life. Lots more to come in 2025! Here were a few highlights:

Alright Music Tech people, what are your favorite reference books? I have a few on mixing, mastering, DAWs, and MAX/MSP, but looking to grow my library some more. What are some of your favorite gems?

Just saw that Nintendo added the soundtrack to Wave Race 64 to their music app and you better believe that’s what I’ll be listening to on my commute tomorrow 😬

I’m releasing an album of Animal Crossing inspired music next year and want your input - what genres/styles would you want to hear in the style of K.K. Slider?

My studio assistant! They’re always ready for one more take

Hello, world! Left the bad place a while ago and have been on Threads, but seems like there’s a lot of activity here recently! Would love to connect with game devs, musicians, photographers, visual artists, etc I’m a composer, musician, and sound designer myself, specializing in game audio
