URGENT deadline worth £10,000s to some all under 73s should check! It's about boosting your future or current State Pension by filling in missing National Insurance years. Sounds boring but is incredibly lucrative. Here's my new step-by-step www.moneysavingexpert.com/latesttip/#h... Please share

#fiveyearson My last day in my old office was Friday 13 March 2020, we were going to 'trial' homeworking on the Monday and Tuesday, never went back to work there. We were relocating so I popped in one day to empty my locker and cupboard and that was it, building has now been demolished.

JFC, just listening to Zelensky being harangued by those two idiots, had to turn it off, bloody awful

Good to see there are still people out there asking the important* questions, like can you be English if you're not white, and who should use which bathroom, FFS

If you think, as I do, that GB News' open hostility to the LGBT+ community and Black and Brown people tacitly encourages violence we've made it very easy for you to tell Sky, one of its biggest advertisers, to stop funding hate. Please use and share. action.goodlawproject.org/sky-stop-fun...

I'd be grateful if you could spread the news and give my new project @authorsofhistory.bsky.social #Podcast a follow. I'll be talking to authors of our favorite #History #books celebrating their work and talking to them about what motivates them to write. First epidsode Mon 24th February 2025.

From 21 February @royalhistsoc.bsky.social will be closing and archiving its X account. From this date all updates from the Society - and its promotion of work by fellow organisations for #history and the humanities - will be via BlueSky. Please encourage colleagues to join us here #skystorians

Laptop just crashed and thought I'd lost a whole morning's work, thank god for auto recovery

www.theguardian.com/thefilter/20... Totally with Grace on this one, I adore a very chocolatey biscuit

Still reading this one, full of interesting details but also loving the occasional bitchy comments, e.g. Wavell being an intellectual 'by the standards of the British Army' 😯 #histbookchat #photofriday

We haven't even had antibiotics for 90yrs but we've still managed to put at risk the amazing benefits of them. Sometimes wonder whether humans deserve to survive (cheerful new year thought)

Jeff Bezos never wanted this cartoon to become public. He killed it, and as a result, pulitzer prize editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit. Make sure everyone sees this cartoon.

Snowy morning

www.theguardian.com/money/2025/j... Unsurprising, we had shockingly bad customer service from British Gas in 2023, managed to escape about a year ago after taking complaints to Ombudsman. 0/5 ⭐, would not recommend.

Two voucher purchases, surprised to have never heard of the Cooper one as it was first published in 1989, might be interesting background for my research. Been wanting a history of Japan since watching Shogun. #histbookchat

Squeezing the most out of the last day of my break by drinking Baileys and watching The Heroes of Telemark

Agreed, I'm not interested in space exploration but enjoying For All Mankind. Also, Silo and Manhunt worth a watch

Went to see the film Commandante last night, about an Italian submarine in October 1940. Enjoyed it, would recommend.

Indulging today in another great Christmas tradition: the rail replacement bus. Hope everyone has had a great Christmas so far.
