“We are drowning in modern comforts while often thirsting for meaning. The fix isn’t chasing pain for pain’s sake but embracing purposeful discomfort that cracks open your heart and ties you tighter to others. Comfort isn’t a villain — unless it becomes a cage.”

Sometimes the heart wants to shout loud - of joy too, of happiness and of hope. “I said to the almond tree, 'Sister, speak to me of God.' And the almond tree blossomed” — Nikos Kazantakis How beautiful would it be if I could feel this every day?

Came across a beautiful thought “God changes appearances every second. Blessed is the man who can recognize him in all his disguises. One moment he is a glass of fresh water, the next, your son bouncing on your knees or an enchanting woman, or perhaps merely a morning walk” — Nikos Kazantzakis

Isto é coragem e parte de viver uma fé verdadeira- a defesa do ambiente - é parte da criação!

Entered prison on 1st April. Civil disobedience as a ministry- peaceful but strong, determined and active! May God comfort him, may he always be as strong and May his courage inspire many!

😢😢 If this isn’t a war crime, then what is ? It’s like what’s happening in Gaza… With a twist now: in both cases, the US is in “good talks and dialogues” with the perpetrators

It’s just an immense pain in the heart and soul to read this! A city! On a Sunday - on Palm Sunday! But hey: didn’t Trump announce he would create peace immediately after talking to Putin? Didn’t the same person belittled the Ukrainian president? Straw dog!

Today I’m somehow more sensitive to these things (may be bc it’s Palm Sunday and there’s suffering foretold) These women want to make sure they can infinitely love every child - not making them suffer. Especially in these countries contraception is important

Sad but true… this is what the arrogance of power does. In this Palm Sunday - May we stay humble and remember the dignity of every person, and that earthly glory is worthless Cartoon by Rebecca Hendin (Guardian)

I’m praying with this thought … “what is *my* Jerusalem”? “Jerusalem is as real a place as any, revered as “our holy place - … But in our spiritual lives, ‘Jerusalem’may yet have a different, more symbolic meaning: the place we do not wish to go but to which God calls us.” — Jesuit prayer
