The total 90 throwback design of the new Premier League ball is glorious

9-man Spurs have pulled one back! Tye Hall (no relation to Tyrese) taps in after a lovely free kick delivery. 18 mins to go. Shevchenko’s son is on for Watford

Second red card right at the start of the second half for Spurs. Elliott-Parris goes in high with the studs closing down after a throw in. Can’t see a comeback here

Penalty to Watford. Upson favourite to a challenge and lost it. Takes down the player as he runs into the box (bit soft for a penalty though) and Nabizada makes it 3-1 from the spot. Spurs their own worst enemies here.

Hardy sent off for a second yellow. Desperate, unnecessary sliding challenge on Okuson between the touchline and 18 yard box. Poor showing from him tonight. Okuson ran him ragged

Amin Nabizada of Watford looks a player. Scored a great curler and has just beaten Hardy with a bit of skill. Hardy goes in the book for pulling his shirt

2-1 tidy finish from Reiss Elliott-Parris capitalising on an awful back pass from the Watford defender. Lifted over the keeper. 21 mins on the board

2-0 Watford. Great footwork and curler in the box after Spurs cleared a corner. Disastrous start

Okuson nearly in again but great recovery pace and challenge from Byfield. Spurs line is very high and Okuson is threatening with his pace

1-0 Watford. Okuson escapes Malachi Hardy to latch onto a through ball and just about beats Archer 1v1. Spurs will be disappointed with that but have plenty of goals in them

Settling in for the evening for some FA Youth Cup action. Spurs v Watford. Some exciting players on show.

11-12 players playing twice a week since the middle of November has been devastating for Spurs’ season. The fact that people are bored of talking about the injuries doesn’t change the fact that they’re there, and the effects of that have actually gotten worse the longer it has gone on.

Every time there’s a challenge like that involving the elbow I can hear my dad saying “Mido was sent off for less than that against Chelsea”

Kinsky recovering from his error. That right channel where Porro is supposed to be is always on, though. In every game.

While I don’t think Bissouma is the answer to our midfield problems in the long term, that change from Ange has definitely made a difference. More presence in midfield

Danso has over hit a few passes but I like his aggression and intention. Not just in the tackle but also his positioning and what he’s trying to do stepping into midfield, playing forward

I wrote about the multiple, compounding causes for what's going on with Spurs right now. I hope we avoid the Fallacy of the Single Cause as we try to unpack the issues. substack.com/home/post/p-...

Forster turned into prime Heurelho Gomes for a moment there
