As a teen, working as a country bumpkin cashier, I was baffled to learn that folks could snap a carton of eggs in half, or buy a single stick of butter, mostly for elderly on assistance . Then city life taught me about loosies (cigarettes) And here we are, in 2025, bodegas selling egg loosies.
