The first visitation for Tony went well. A bunch of our neighbors showed up because he was a very involved and well-liked neighbor and it turned into a sort of gossip/chat session rather than a sad funeraly thing for about half an hour. That was nice. He'd have loved that.

My stepfather passed away this morning. He's been battling lymphoma and getting chemo. Ironically, it was his heart and not the cancer that is the reason he passed. We had a complicated past, my stepdad and I. But deep down, I loved him. He helped raise me from age 10 up. I'll miss you, Tony.
