Just bought a soda stream, like the absolute analogue-life loving millennial legend that I am. Off to write on some paper with my fountain pen and then maybe put a DVD on.

*Big sigh* Today brought news of two deaths deeply affecting people I care about. There are so many people suffering, near and far. I’m working on turning my awareness of that pain into doing more to uplift those I am able to, rather than soaking up some of the grief from each heartbreaking story.

Superb guide, so informative! I’ll definitely check out the rest in the thread. Side note - it’s interesting to me how different AI services describe the same image. I compare them with what I come up with as alt text. Some are too terse, others embellish with lots of detail, a few fails.

Gross. Why take a stand and allow other teams compete when you can just feign ignorance and disappointment all other players, coaches, and supporters.

Had a conversation today with my friend about bias against left-handed people and many things just aren’t designed for us. He hadn’t thought about the basic tasks that are made more difficult for me, a refreshing change for him as a blind man - where almost every situation forces him to adapt!

Enjoying drawing with my daughter. Love my lil witch!

A long time ago Kings wanted their people to survive - not thrive - to serve them. The trouble now, is that Kings cannot be reached in castles, their riches aren’t something any one of us can touch. They build their castles from power and influence, control through fear, conflict through division.

I quickly sculpted this lil guy as I muttered to the sea, that the young lads dropping their cans in the water - after I waded in and fished one out advising them to pick up after themselves - deserved the same respect they were showing the land and sea.

As the sun settles in for a spell, I cast my mind to the beauty of winter

Ah Glastonbury town, always a joy and never enough time! The Chalice Well gardens were a welcome rest from the chaos as usual

Just did an educate about Welsh deities and lore to the ladies from the retreat. They were refreshingly intrigued by the pains of the Welsh people, our stories, and - in some cases - why the animosity toward English people and governance. *Takes deep breath* 😏 Genuine open discussion is beautiful

I’m not vegan, but here’s one of many vegan meals I ate on a women’s retreat this last 5 days. We foraged wild garlic, daisy, dandelion flowers and greens, hairy bittercress, nettle, primrose, creeping speedwell, and plantain to complement the veg. Tasted amazing!

HOW am I supposed to have a short work break when this lad is on my lap for snuggles

Look deeply into your beliefs about yourself, really get close to all the crap you tell yourself. Seek the truth of who you are, not the past version (or more than one) that sticks in your throat, that trips you up and holds you back. Change will come without force. #thoughtoftheday

Picked up some more wares for my room🖤. Kronk’s voice: Oh yeah, it’s all coming together

Gorgeously frilly mushroom from last autumn 🍄‍🟫 #mushroom

From wanting to join in at an occasional drum circle, I’m kind of obsessed with this versatile lil piece of noise-making joy

Okay @bsky.app I’m now hitting “Show less like this” on all posts using images to share text posts without #altText which contain distressing content. The rest I’ll scroll by. It’s lazy, and I’m not here for a feed full of the exact topics I’ve muted - in image form.

Sometimes I forget that most people don’t have a huge basket of special sticks. What a shame.

@bsky.app Can we please have the option to filter out posts with images lacking alt text? Not only will this help meet #accessibilty needs, but I’m hoping muted words will get picked up too? Muting terms is almost pointless as so many people use images with text in. FYI I have emailed about this🙂.

I bought these two yesterday. Just giving them a loving wash and cleansing them of their past lives #antique

An idiom just prompted me to contemplate the deep-seated and widespread devaluation of people as we age. The idea of “going to seed”. After a flower has bloomed, the vigour and vitality has gone, its value is in the future - in seeds. How absurd that this is taken to mean ‘to lose value’ #philosophy

Just a little world inside a weathered fence post 🍄☘️

Green is my souls favourite colour 📍Caerfanell Waterfalls, Wales

How lucky I was to access this land on a recent outing. This small beautiful country has so much of its beauty tucked up and away from most - damn I love my truck. #Wales #overlander

Walk on the earth as though each step is a kiss

One of the most damaging but successful beliefs that western society has instilled is that humans are not nature, that it is some separate entity, outside of us. It was a necessary step in the pursuit of wealth and 'progress' at the cost of our own true nature, and our shared home.

What a scene, on the walk back down from the Skirrid peak. #Wales

The beauty of Wales will always take my breath away
