"Stopping the boats" by making it so there's no legal method to apply for asylum

That should say "so much", of course I only notice the typo after it's posted

The "arms" are AoS Melusai bodies. The head is a cut-up throne from the Skull Cannon/Rendmaster kit; a Screamer head; and the horns are from a head from the Chaos Spawn kit.

Not sure how good CoF are live these days, but I've seen Nervosa twice and both times they put on some of the most fun sets I've ever seen. I'd go just for them and hope CoF are good live!

Seeing pg.99 and City of Caterpillar in the same year, 18 y.o. me is incredibly jealous

#MWE 23: Watch Your Life by Itadi. The slower tracks lose me, but when it's more up-tempo this has real groove and an almost effortless sense of cool, as the best funk should. Slightly undermined by some odd vocal choices at points, but overall I really enjoyed this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJy9...

#MWE 22: Air Volta by Volta Jazz. There's some great guitar work and rhythms, but it fits into that weird space of being too energetic and danceable for background listening, but not enough (on record) to hold my full attention. www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...

There's a bunch of stuff on The Archivist like this where I have the originals from like, Level Plane or whoever, and it makes me feel old.

Thanks! I'm so excited about building this army, I have so many ideas for it

Thanks! It really was :)

Also came in 3rd place at a Warhammer 40K tournament today and won the most sporting award :)

#MWE 21: Life is Beautiful by Larry June. It soon drifted into being background music, with June sounding so laid-back he was practically horizontal. The production is nice, but on the whole, it's a bit too relaxed and the record is pretty underwhelming. www.youtube.com/watch?v=54z6...

#MWE 20: Pretty Girls Like Trap Music by 2 Chainz. This did nothing for me and I cut my losses and bailed less than half-way through. I get what they're going for, but I bounced off it. Let's leave it at that. www.youtube.com/watch?v=cugj...

Progressives don't set out to start fights with the police; but will find themselves kettled at protests, under surveillance, and infiltrated, no matter how benign their goals. The Stephen Lawrence family were monitored by police for wanting justice for their son who was murdered in a racist attack!

#MWE 19: Akofa Akoussah by Akofa Akoussah. The mix of funk, jazz, 60's pop and Ewe music is simultaneously very energetic and wonderful background music. Akoussah's voice is fantastic, and the record packs so many ideas into less than 30 minutes that it's remarkable. www.youtube.com/watch?v=xOi7...

#MWE 18: Gétatchèw Mékuria and His Saxophone by Gétatchèw Mékuria. The Hammond organ contrasts oddly with Mékuria's powerful, sax playing that's full of character, though some tracks slip into background music over the duration. But when it's good, it's really good. www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...

#MWE 17: The Guide (Wommat) by Youssou N'Dour. The curse of the 90's strikes - the idea that you HAD to fill a CD with 70+ minutes of music spoiled many an album, and this is one such victim. Cut it down to 45 and you've got a banger, but as-is, attention wanders. www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...

100%, I love that song

#MWE 16: Stoosh by Skunk Anansie. I'm regretting that I overlooked this at release, because I think 12 y.o. me would have loved this and taken a lot from the lyrics. As-is, I still think it's great, and I'm glad I finally checked it out beyond the singles. www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1Sd...

#MWE 15: Raw Like Sushi by Nemeh Cherry. There's so much going on here, and a lot of it works - albeit in a very 80's way - though it's a bit too eclectic to come together on first listen. And some parts (like The Next Generation) are a bit too earnest for me. www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQOy...

#MWE 14: Like a Ribbon by John Glacier. I appreciate what Glacier's trying to do, but on first listen it doesn't hold me - her vocals are (intentionally) too monotone. There's some interesting ideas here though, so I might give it more time. johnglacier.bandcamp.com/album/like-a...

#MWE 13: Regulate... G Funk Era by Warren G. Everyone knows the title track, but the album as a whole has aged really nicely. Warren G isn't the most technically gifted rapper, but his flows work so well for the beats that it doesn't really matter. www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...

Yeah, agreed. It's like there's the idea and components of metal there, just not done in a way that feels interesting.

#MWE 12: IV: Constitution of Treason by God Forbid. It's fine, I suppose. A bit too 00's metalcore to really grab me, and post-9/11 in a protest-is-patriotism way. Nothing bad about it, but nothing I think I'd come back to. www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5nA...

I'm sure people will go and have fun, but I 100% expect Sabbath themselves to be, objectively, disappointing. There's a reason Ozzy cancelled his tours!

#MWE 11: Liquid Swords by GZA. Another classic I hadn't got around to, and can easily see why it's so respected. This is top-tier all around, especially the beats - some of the most captivating I've ever heard, even on first listen. www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...

#MWE 10: Never Too Much by Luther Vandross. Vandross' voice is, obviously, incredibly, and everyone involved puts in great performances; I just can't see myself going back to this. Nothing bad about it, it just doesn't really grab me beyond the title track. www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNj9...
