Hi Chicago friends! I’m hosting the first ever kids makers market at Nettelhorst on Sunday, March 9th from 1-4pm! We had over 50 kids signup to sell art, baked goods, 3D prints, stickers, jewelry, and so many others! It is open to everyone, so please come support your local young maker!

Hoping this is the last of our detours for the RPM project! Bittersweet as we’ve come to love to saying “Happy Friday” to our construction friends! They’ve been so kind to us, and going as far as holding traffic on Clark St for us. Grateful for the community the bike bus brings!

Definitely one of those scared people! I’m an infectious disease epidemiologist working in HIV/LGBTQ+ NIH-funded research, have stage 4 breast cancer (in remission but $37k treatment every 3 weeks!), and an AuDHD kiddo. The last few weeks have been a roller coaster with so much uncertainty.

One of the fatalities was a 60yo pedestrian in the 44th ward on the Roscoe greenway - Roscoe/Broadway crossing. I remember reaching out to the ward bc there was blood all over the pavement and another recent hit there. Based on the crash data, it happened just before the crosstown classic at Wrigley

I know I usually talk about bikes and urbanism BUT my job in HIV & Sexual and Gender Minority research is incredibly dear to my heart. As of yesterday, NIH removed all the pages referring to their Sexual and Gender Minority Research office. It’s starting and things are moving too fast.

❄️Blizzard Bike Bus!❄️ We went slow and carefully, as we said we would. One of the kids mentioned it felt like we were in a snow globe. Though we had no independent kid riders today, we had a nice mix of kid carrying bikes. Hope to see you next Friday for Bike Bus!
