When Nixon's unconstitutional crimes were revealed in the early 1970s, a large portion of the public (including many Republicans) looked upon his actions with horror & disgust, like he'd violated a sacred trust. What Trump & Musk have done over the past 4 weeks is so far in excess of what Nixon did.
