@aoc.bsky.social mentioned in a post that repubs are trying to fill dem seats in order to make it look like TF has more support than he does. Apparently they don’t have assigned seating and if a seat isn’t filled, a repub can take it. Boycotting doesn’t leave the space “empty,” so to speak.
