A shocking attitude to autism Robinince.com for Normally Weird dates uk.bookshop.org/p/books/norm...

Significant (from NPR)

It's such utter shite. Watch a generation of kids growing up thinking THIS is great writing 🤡

I have independently confirmed that President Obama’s White House portrait has indeed been replaced by this portrait of President Trump in the aftermath of the assassination attempt against him.

They are obviously slow learners

Has it though? (Spoiler, it's genes and it's not eluding scientists: Over 800 genes and dozens of genetic syndromes have been linked to autism, and studies continue to uncover new associations)

"I have always supported him because of his MAGA ideals" [until I lost MY job] says Denise. MAGA ideals, you say? 🤡

Illegal ideas.

In general, we treat predatory behaviour as the norm, and never think to curb it through better socialisation and teaching of boys.

Because your wankpanzers don't fit in normal city streets or parking spaces, and everyone knows you'd look like an idiot driving one in Paris or Tokyo

This is what you call two different readouts of the same meeting. Go Denmark, Go Greenland!

remember how Wile E. Coyote used to hold up a little sign saying ‘help’ or ‘oh no’ or some such just before the huge boulder crushed him

The "miracle of Paris" has become a global reference for air quality management 👏 Why don't we all do this In our own cities? We all benefit from it, regardless of what colour tie you like at election time. If they can do it we can. Surely our health is worth whatever it costs?

What a marvellously inspirational and uplifting piece. www.thetimes.com/article/0bcc...

The average American voter thinks that the government is too big but that it should spend more money on everything it does. This explains a decent share of the political chaos of this country.

It took seeing adult bullies to understand that my childhood bullies didn’t even really want to hurt me, they just wanted to feel powerful and how I felt about it wasn’t even in the equation. I can’t imagine someone not outgrowing that, but apparently it happens quite a lot!

Might just be me, but I don't think the 'move fast and break things' ethos was meant to be applied to containment of one of the world's most deadly diseases. Yet here we are.

This was just posted on President Trump’s Truth Social account.

Idiocracy was a documentary

As Bannon debuts his own salute, it strikes me one reason using the descriptors 'fascist' or 'Nazi' is seen as hyperbole is an idea the Nazis were some wild exception & also that humans have "evolved" since WWII. But what the most evil of us were capable of 80 years ago, they are capable of now

Todays vegetarian school meal, with beef ?? And.. all that... #nzpol #newzealand

Of the three Trump voters I know well, two did so because of their anti-vax, crunchy 'wellness' obsession. The Wakefield 'MMR causes autism' misinformation was the radicalising factor years ago, and they are still deeply ensconced in that bubble.

Yesterday I was walking on the footpath & heard someone sarcastically call out 'you're welcome'. Swivelled my head to see a middle aged guy waiting to exit a carpark via narrow driveway. The audacity I had to walk on the footpath & not gratefully thank man who had 'allowed' me to exercise my right 🙄

Bed sheets getting pockets before women's clothing is just wild

No matter how women react to abuse of all kinds, it is NEVER 'right' … "One [defence lawyer] asked why she had not appeared angrier with her former husband, and why she had not cried more in court." www.theguardian.com/world/2024/d...

Was reading about an interesting topic. People parking in a car park like this can park miles away and still think it isn’t far (because they can physically see the store), people parking around the corner of a shopping street consider this too far (while in fact it’s closer). Blew my mind.
