This is deranged. Jan. 6 defendants were repped by one of the best public defender offices in the U.S. They were more likely to be released pretrial & got comparatively light sentences. SCOTUS threw out a bunch of convictions, which almost never happens. They got gold-plated due process!

I just saw "the light bulb went off" expression again. I don't understand why more people don't say (though some do) "the light bulb went ON" to indicate an idea that has suddenly illuminated their brain. A light bulb that is off is a light bulb that is not turned on; the room (the brain) is dark.
