I put on a smile for certain people, but inside, I know we are most definitely not the same, and I'll never be their friend.

It was an honor to sign the guest book in the home of Anne Frank. I was here as a younger man and thought about her life as a dark chapter of history. Today, I can’t help but think of her story as one of caution. Our world is fragile, and it’s incumbent on us not to break it.

This proposal to place the operation of local public facilities into the hands of a far-right loon would be laughable if it wasn't so believable in this town.

History doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes. Don't wait until it's too late. They WILL be coming for something you hold dear, you just might be a few groups down the list.

This is a constitutional crisis: the President doesn't have the power to cancel funds appropriated by Congress. Also, the math is insane; there is NO way to cut $4B/day by getting rid of "fraud". Cuts of that magnitude will dangerously undermine the core functions of government.

Dems in Congress. Wake up and do your job! Condemning Trump is not enough. We will not forgive your inaction. "I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same"
