Train travel in the UK is screwed IMO. Winchester to Waterloo first class. No seats, then tried to find a regular seat and because there are so many people with suitcases they are taking up all available seats. I'm having to stand No wonder I use my car or fly whenever possible Rant over

Taking the train in the UK is not only a very bad service but the cost - Wow First class, Winchester to Manchester £400. I didn't realise that was a fixed ticket as the customer interface is shxx. Wanted to leave on an earlier train and had to pay another £170 to change Flying next time

Cross country trains - travelled from Winchester to Manchester yesterday. Awful experience IMO. Noisy, pretty cramped space to sit ( and this was in first class), and SO expensive. No wonder people fly
