The scary part of today's news is that people actually believe that D-Day ended the War in Europe. D-Day began the year-long process that eventually ended the War. From June 1944 to March '45, there was heavy fighting, and the Allies didn't enter Germany until March 22, 1945. VE day was May 8, 1945.
