The fake video game contest earlier- Saw people concerned around the idea of “spec work”, which I wasn’t familiar with. Did a little reading and, yeah, i can see problems there. Contest canceled, might bring it back in some form, but ideally in a way that would be fair to artists.

Publishing a video about this next month but after researching this (mostly looking at investment firms), I do think the games industry is *irreparably* fucked. Won’t get much worse, but won’t ‘recover’ either. Growth was outrageously exponential, recently slowed (inevitably), investors fled.
