One of the areas where GTA IV showed its age was in Weapon Animations, Rockstar stuck with static models, however after all these years that's finally changed! Here we have the ANIMATED WEAPONS mod by Shvab & Spartan 112: youtu.be/DJmRDWpzupU

In gta3, traffic lights cycle through 3 states: North/South East/West Pedestrians The traffic light’s model orientation determines its cycle, and at startup, my code stored the cycle in the road nodes. This is why, even if the light was knocked over, cars still obeyed the light.

In GTA San Andreas, small planes are periodically created near the player to perform a fly-by. Sometimes they crash. Before creating the plane, my code looks for obstacles in its path.

For gta3, Vice and SA; Memory on the ps2 was tight. We had to limit the number of used vehicle models to 8. My code would occasionally pick a car model to be phased out. Once there were none left on the map, this model would be removed and a new model could be loaded.

The artists gave me a texture for the moon in gta3. I placed the moon in the sky, made sure it was visible at night and that it was a reasonable size. A few days later 4 artists were at my desk asking me to change the size of the moon. "No problem" I said.

Rounding off the end of 2024 I'm releasing Version 2.0 of the High Resolution Miscellaneous pack for GTA IV/TLAD/TBOGT, this update brings a lot of small fixes across all three along with a heavy focus on TBOGT interiors, you can grab it here: www.nexusmods.com/gta4/mods/35...

One of the things we forgot to add to the changelog for Fusion Fix 3.0 was that we've also fixed the mobile phone scaling at resolutions higher than 720p, this now matches how it's done on GTAV PC/PS4/XB1, a small fix really: github.com/ThirteenAG/G...

It's been one year since I released the Higher Resolution Vehicle Pack for GTA IV! A mod that's been downloaded over 20k times across various websites! It also means we're approaching another anniversary for IV, it'll be 16 years old tomorrow! www.nexusmods.com/gta4/mods/28...

Not had much free time lately so any editing stuff has been contributions to other projects instead, one of those being the Various Fixes project where I've been remaking TBOGT billboards in IV PC quality (with help from MagicAL on Little Bitches)

It was the 15th Anniversary of The Lost & Damned on Saturday and to celebrate I've updated my Higher Resolution Misc Pack to version 1.1! With additional help from MagicAL for finding some V texs this update covers a lot of areas that missed out last time www.nexusmods.com/gta4/mods/35...

James has done a fantastic job of covering the progress of the GTA IV modding scene this past year as we've made progress and this new video of his highlights just why we've done things this way, how easy it is for new and returning players to fix up the game in a few clicks youtu.be/UuXVYUGJ45Y?...

This Sunday marks the 15th Anniversary of GTA IV's (terrible) PC port, however as a lot of you know over the past year there has been some large improvements made thanks to the modding community. One of those being Fusion Overloader which @tjgm.bsky.social discusses: youtu.be/DRQxB9T1_tE?...

Out now for testing is the Centered Vehicle Cam by _AG, this makes the car driving camera more in-line with the other games in the series instead of the driver side shifted view that GTA IV opted for: github.com/gennariarman...

Coming on the 29th of October (TBOGT's anniversary) will be my next mod, the High Resolution Miscellaneous texture pack. This mod fixes and increases the resolution for objects in areas that most HD map packs ignore, including things like minigames, cutscene props and more...

Slight update to my Higher Resolution Radio Logos pack, as well as putting together an easy install version using the Fusion Fix "update" folder method I've also fixed a glitch if you were using these on 1.0.7.0/1.0.8.0: https://www.nexusmods.com/gta4/mods/311?tab=description
