If the government doesn't work, why not dismantle it? A private company, called the East India Company, ruled India for a hundred years. Even the British Parliament thought it wasn't doing well. USA can try.

Are we, really? Do we have the capability?

He follows the order.

That’s one of the two good things Trump has done to Canada. The other good thing is Canadians are more united now than before.

No, #USAID Isn’t Giving Billions to Canadian Universities #Canada #USA The American agency is not funding the ‘woke indoctrination’ of youth in Canada, no matter what you read on X. thetyee.ca/News/2025/02...

"One of the great tragedies of mankind is that morality has been hijacked by religion. So now people assume that religion and morality have a necessary connection. But the basis of morality is really very simple and doesn't require religion at all." Arthur C. Clarke

I always doubted if Americans watched the show. How many of them are even aware of that generosity?

Good news. Traveling within Canada should be easier and cheaper. There has to be more organized tours as well.

Now that Canadians are turning away from America, it may be the time to tell them the problem with the American way of urbanization. American values, such as extreme individualism, wastefulness and distrust of the state are detrimental to building a green new world.

There's a method to Trump's madness. The proposed tariff will hurt consumers but raise money for the Federal budget. He will need money so the rich can be given a tax break.

She will be remembered.

Imagine the chaos if everyone starts creating their own contents.

@jojofromjerz.bsky.social, I understand your frustration but you are blaming the majority of your people. If half of the country is dumb and hateful, how did they land there?

He openly supports AFD the German Fascist party.

Canada needs a large population to have a good economy of scale and to ward off external threats from south of the border.

In that case, don't even think of the conservatives. They have dual loyalty. I believe 90% of those who are open to America's annexation of Canada are supporters of the Conservative Party.

Please read and listen to recent news on Bangladesh.

Believers inflict suffering on themselves. It only strengthens their commitment.

I agree with you. But in a democracy, the majority rules. In a choice between a felon versus a non-democracy, the choice is clear.

I am not sure Britain has the guts to stand up to the US administration. They haven't joined France and Germany in condemning the threat to Greenland.

That's enough to keep the administration busy for 4 years.

Justin Trudeau found himself at the helm of a boat without a compass, in a turbulent global order made worse by the post-Covid crises. He was ill-equipped to handle the situation. Sadly, I don’t see anyone ready for the role. As a nation we have a duty to formulate a vision and set of strategies.

Do we know what kind of a society we’re going to be in the next twenty years? A high-tech economy or an immigrant labor- based assembly-line economy? Are we ready to face climate change? Can we counter Trump’s aggressive posture?

Our economy is still largely resource-based, we export mainly to the USA, our economic productivity has been falling, we are losing edge in innovation, and our international standing has been eroding.

People say anything to feel important when there are no clear ideas about the path ahead for the country. For the past three decades that I have been observing, there have been no strategic shifts to Canada’s economy, political strategies, and vision for the future.

Looks delicious.

Happy New Year to everyone. Mahbub Khan

I never understood why CBC promoted this toxic substance.

What variety of paganism do you follow? Just curious.

Arthur Clarke is right. Morality does not need any religion to validate. But historically, religion was invented to enforce moral rules on cheaters.

I was recently in Nova Scotia. I liked Halifax, but I thought Sydney lacked tourism infrastructure. Day trips anywhere in N.S. are too expensive.

Maybe that's what Canadians needs in the short run to learn for the long run.

Great news. Should have been done a long time ago.

Indeed.

Any statement with 'may" or "may not" isn't science.

Let her enjoy her life.😶

You are absolutely doing better than buying shoes and handbags that you don't need.

He meant 2024.
