Exhibit #5,000,000 that none of this has anything to do with efficiency. It's just incredibly basic white Christofascism. Anti-science, anti-life. Profoundly sadistic. The people who claim they are going to protect your money would spend any amount of money to cause you even a little more pain.

This matters. Not because I think Trump is capable of mercy or empathy towards these vulnerable groups. But because it is a public act of defiance. Contrast that with all these other powerful people in this country signaling nothing but appeasement and obedience.

In 1979, Jimmy Carter installed solar panels on the White House. In 1986, Ronald Reagan tore them down along w/Carter’s clean energy funding. This sums up the difference between the two men & political parties. Investing in solutions for the future vs canceling progress to score political points.
