Okay the new voice acting in Lunar is pretty good. People can say what they want, but it's fine. Lunar 2's voice acting feels phenomenally better and more lively than the old dub, imho. This collection is worth it for Lunar 2 alone!

So Lunar is great. It looks and sounds really nice. The new voice actors are fine. But dear God, why why why why why after all these years do we still have the bugged PS1 sound effects instead of the Saturn ones? The Dragonfly wing and other teleport items are NOT supposed to sound like that! 😐

I'm excited for Lunar: Remastered Collection tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to hearing complaints from the fandom about the voice actors. The new ones will be fine. Meanwhile, I'm expecting it to have bugs from the PS1 port that weren't in the Saturn version and am prepared to be annoyed.

Ordered my last batch of repair parts and stuff for custom Gameboys for the foreseeable future. Access to this stuff is going to shrink. Fun hobby, and repairs/customs have been my side gig for 20 years. I'm really bummed that these tariffs are going to make it harder.

Now I got the ability to play gameboy and gbc back in my life, I had to get some childhood favourites back too. I think we all know what a classic this is. Especially in vacuum of gameboy games. It really hits higher than the rest and this colour version still felt fresh. The music just melts me.

I haven't finished Pokémon Red++ yet. 6 Gym badges. Getting there. Got distracted with another classic. I never played much the original Final Fantasy much. I was going to play Origins, but I figured real hardware would be more fun. I'm sure there are better versions, but hey... I'm having fun.

So, my previous GBA mod, the pink and black one, as I feared, the shell is developing cracks. It's the second worst cracking I've seen in an aftermarket shell. I think it's the transparent plastic. I'm thinking of buying a solid color replacement shell.

Weirdest childhood thing. Well...a weird one anyway. I loved Sonic! For some reason...my Dad wouldn't allow me to have the original game. Not on Genesis, not on Game Gear, not on Master System. Straight up no, for no reason. But Sonic 2, 3, CD, & Knuckles were fine. First one? NOPE. Not even used!

Finished another mod. Different kit than my other GBA. This one is from Hispeedido. The color temperature is a bit cooler than the Funnyplaying screen, but it's a lot more crisp. I like it!
