Four years ago, 140 police officers were injured and 5 died after a MAGA mob sent by Donald Trump attacked the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to steal the election. As his second term approaches, we are fighting to defend our Democracy and freedoms against chaos and division.

We are deeply saddened by the news of President Jimmy Carter's passing. He will be remembered for his outstanding service to the American people in uniform, elected office, and civilian life. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Carter family.

Trump is again putting his own political gains & games ahead of the American people. His latest stunt could force TSA, USPS, troops, and law enforcement to work through the holidays without pay—all to make it easier for him to explode the deficit with tax breaks for billionaires.

David Mallett recently asked us to share his song and remind folks that "this could be a better nation, now." Maine has lost one of our greatest voices, but his message & spirit live on in his music. We extend our deepest condolences to the Mallett family. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXwY...

Yesterday, President Biden established a national monument at the Maine home of Democratic trailblazer, Frances Perkins! As Secretary of Labor for Pres. Franklin D. Roosevelt, Perkins was the first woman cabinet member and a champion of Social Security, organized labor, and other New Deal policies.

Being "concerned" is not enough when it comes to protecting our military service members, Susan Collins must speak out now. Pete Hegseth is unqualified & unfit to lead our largest government agency, where Maine soldiers' lives are on the line every day. www.mainedems.org/media/maine-...

Can you imagine the outrage from the GOP if the Golden family made a $1.3 million deal with the Bidens? They'd call it grifting and corruption, but after watching Austin’s campaign it shouldn’t surprise anyone that he'd sell Maine out to the elites. www.bangordailynews.com/2024/11/23/p...

While Rep. Lanigan is entitled to his day in court, the people of Shapleigh, Newfield, & Springvale deserve better. We are calling for his resignation pending criminal trial for felony domestic violence aggravated assault. mainedems.org/media/maine-dems-call-immediate-resignation-rep-lucas-lanigan

In the 3 years since the #BipartisanInfrastructureLaw was signed, the accomplishments have been enormous: $568 billion in investments. 66,000 projects. 940,000 construction jobs. The list goes on. All part of a massive investment in one of the greatest assets on earth: the American people.

Susan Collins just announced she is planning to break the two-term pledge she made to Mainers in 1996 for the fourth time. Suzy, it's time to come home.
