I work in exports and am already seeing effects of Trump's tariffs that make me concerned for my job. Cool cool cool.

My father-in-law passed exactly 7 months ago yesterday and today I had to go with my mother-in-law to put their dog down. Big oof.

Agonizing over whether or not to spend $3000 for me and my wife to go on the Modest Mouse cruise. (I absolutely should not but really want to.)

Me and Ashley went to our local record store's early listening party for the new Black County, New Road album and did some coloring. Hers is the cool one.

Was on the fence about whether I should spend the money to see Soul Coughing in Atlanta next weekend, but I managed to find a hotel for just under $100, so why not. It's on Record Store Day too, so maybe I'll have a chance to stop by Criminal Records before the show.

Lil' gator guy living in the pond behind our house.

Enjoyed Mickey 17. Robert Pattinson is becoming one of those actors that I'm just always happy to see do whatever.

We did the thing where you ransack your whole house and then some guy makes it way too hot in there so bed bugs get murdered and I hope it worked because I never want to do all that again.

Hey everybody, don't get bed bugs. Just don't do it, okay?

This guy Jesse Welles has been kind of blowing up on Tiktok for the last few months or so, doing folky protest songs. Turns I saw his band 7 years ago?? They opened for the Regrettes. Pretty sure they were more grungey/alt rock at the time.

Fun tip: Be sick for 3-4 days Drink no caffeine during this period, and also maybe for 1 day after feeling better Drink energy drink Feel invincible

Sophie doing sleep woofs.

Just remembered that this was my introduction to Childish Gambino as a rapper after being a fan of Derrick Comedy for a few years. Still love this song. youtu.be/Z0e2mrUmBkA?...

I'm a fan of the wallpaper in the bathroom at this hotel in Athens, GA.

Pierce from Soul Glo joined Jeff's band for the first ever live performance of a song they did together for the Craig of the Creek movie.

Jeff Rosenstock put on easily one of the most fun shows I've been to. Thanks to the guy who let me take a picture of the set list he got.

Soul Glo was pretty nuts. The guy on the left here crowd surfed his guitar during their last song for maximum noise.

We're here for Jeff Rosenstock and I'm just kind of bracing myself for Soul Glo.

Nothing like listening to your own song over and over to make sure you like the mix until you're not even sure if you like the song anymore.

I love seeing that John Linnell is a fan of Kate Beaton. And of course he is.

This is the most efficient Arby's I've ever been to. As soon as I walked in they called my name before I even ordered! The food wasn't what I was going to order, and there was some other guy who looked upset when I grabbed it though. Still, great service!

I've always thought it would be cool to work at a record store, and now my wife does so I get to live it vicariously through her.

Last night I changed the strings on my bass for the first time. I've had it for about 5 years and was still using the ones that it came with.

Bummed to see how limited the upcoming Peter Bjorn and John tour is going to be. Nothing close enough to me. On the upside, looks like I get to see Modest Mouse on the 20th anniversary of the first time I saw them.

Listening to the Ogre You Asshole record I got when I saw them open for Wolf Parade in 2010. Still one of the best opener/headliner pairings I've seen live.

Does anyone talk about how Soul Coughing's El Oso starts with such a great 3-track run? Everyone knows "Rollin'" and "Circles" but I feel like "Misinformed" is underrated.

Applying for jobs these days is insane. My wife has applied to two different jobs through Indeed that immediately sent her questionnaires that were essentially job interview questions after she submitted her resumé.

We absolutely do not need two dozen Krispy Kreme donuts, but for $20.25 I feel like we have no choice.

Happy New Year! I once again stuck to my annual resolution to not die! Let's see how 2025 goes.
