Exactly $1,000 to go! www.backerkit.com/c/projects/b...

Since I’ve been getting this a lot - if you feel like supporting me by buying a jersey or something, I would rather you make a donation to Trans Lifeline or The Trevor Project www.thetrevorproject.org

I love this photo! 2019 feels like a lifetime ago. The following year, WIP brought so many folks together safely during COVID. Though we've felt how the world moved on reflected in membership. But COVID never went away! And we're still pushing to find others who are navigating work in a pandemic.

Hey, uh if you feel so inclined, I have a shop. I’m broke as shit rn.

If you have an R rep, call 'em up and ask them why they hell they aren't speaking out like Balderson. Call 'em now. Tell 'em to stand up for you against Trump and Musk. Ask 'em if they're cowards. Tell 'em to step up like Balderson, or step down. reps.fyi

Ever feel like the business world isn't set up for self-employed people? As a solo-designer I've definitely felt like I don't belong. The good news is I've found my people at WIP.🥳 If you're feeling lonely running your solo-business, fill out one of our applications to join us! www.joinwip.com

Getting real tired of every third kickstarter on my feed using gen ai images. And it sucks that table top game kickstarters are some of the worst offenders.

I'm so glad the original article still lives www.thehairpin.com/women-laughi...

Hey! You. Give them a follow. You get: 1x Good Comic

I wrote about Cafewal, a "free restaurant" in the East Village training refugees to work in professional kitchens ny.eater.com/2025/2/20/24...

I scoffed! I sneered! And now I return to you a contrite man, humbled by dumples 😌

Cool. It can help you imagine all the jobs you could have had if tech companies weren’t currently active participants in destroying society.

I was so sad because it's been a month, but Toho heard my mournful cries and came through for us!

In 2020 I illustrated a chapter for Shay Mirk's anthology graphic novel, Guantanamo Voices, about human rights lawyer Thomas Wilner. Along with others, Wilner's case against the government for unlawfully imprisoning 12 Kuwaiti men was supported by Korematsu, who fought that same fight before.

On this Day of Remembrance, we honor the 120,000 Japanese Americans unjustly imprisoned during WWII because of their heritage. Their resilience remind us to never forget the lessons of history. We will continue to fight for justice, equality, and civil rights for all.

I need to pick up some new lettering gigs. So far in 2025, I've had: • 2 projects cancelled • 1 project delayed in the short term • 1 project delayed in the long term • 1 project coming to an end If any editor or creator is looking for an experienced professional letterer, please reach out to me 🙏

If there's a lesson to learn from the Humane AI pin's demise, it's to call bullshit on AI more often

Getting started with some warmup drawings and then it's tax day for me 😩

I’m applying to this, should be a great experience, as it’s run by some of my favorite folks

New post on Patreon featuring a sneak peek at a pair of portraits I made for some dear friends. I also chat about the stressful January I had (and that was BEFORE the inauguration 😵‍💫) and how a little quiet cowork time in Work In Progress has helped claw my way out of a fresh burnout.

How to tell the story of the modern world through graphic novels? No one knows better than Darryl Cunningham @acmedarryl.bsky.social. Tomorrow evening, he’ll be talking about it online. Anyone out there like to join the conversation? www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1214761687...

Today @thesicktimes.bsky.social: Without clear clinical guidelines in México, people with Long COVID face gaslighting and erasure. A lack of information and protocols causes people with the disease to fend for themselves. Great story by freelancer Annika Hom: thesicktimes.org/2025/02/18/w...

105% funded and working toward our first stretch goal, DOUBLE ART: literally doubling the amount of interior illustrations by our 27 artists! www.backerkit.com/c/projects/b...

i dislike the notion that "things have to be difficult to be valuable" as a counterpoint to AI, because ime most of the stressors that make my work difficult are the result of capitalism and ableism, not the work itself

hello cis friends this is what people mean by trans genocide if a type of person does not officially exist, then any harm against them cannot be measured or reported this headline change isn't even being caused by an executive order it's simply the NYT editors deciding we don't deserve to exist

Today's coworking warmup! I picked a brush I never use and a reference with a difficult expression/face angle and struggled! 😅 But going from wanting to throw my pen across the room to feeling like I was getting was great! Model is Aaron from @trueref.bsky.social

"Resistance" isn't going to be overthrowing the government for the vast majority of us. Resistance is going to be taking care of each other.

See a knight, post a knight ⚔️ I love how many members of @gorangligovic.bsky.social's mercenary band keep popping up

She's cracking. New Yorkers, please feel free to call her office one more time and tell her to fire him. Also tell her she should have done this MONTHS ago. 1-518-474-8390

Nicola has worked so hard over the years to lift creative freelancers up and give them the support and community that is often missing when you strike out on your own. So much of my early career was spent fumbling around in the dark, and it doesn't have to be that way.
