My simple beliefs: Women are amazing. They should be respected and listened to. Bikes, trains and buses are smart transportation. I can take a nice photo of an amazing scene, but I am trying to learn how to make an amazing image of an average scene.

We need details on this.

"Bike lanes restrict road space. Bike lanes have turned streets into parking lots, with residents unable to shop, get kids to events, and seriously impact emergency services & Wheel-Trans." Actually, no. 100% wrong. Car dependency & too much driving with increasingly large vehicles does all that.

Her stats line up with CDC data…

The USA needs to clean up their own house and stop trying to bully Canada or try to tell Canada that they didn't "really mean it" and we should be friends again. We are moving on from the abusive relationship. Charlie Angus says it very well. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkAg...

BREAKING: In a stunning moment, renowned journalist Scott Pelley just highlighted how Donald Trump is working to stifle free speech in America, and how he plans on fighting back. This is huge.

Paris urban biking investment helps cut pollution in half: “Between 2005 and 2024, levels of nitrogen dioxide and fine particulate matter — 2 of the most harmful pollutants to human health — have been slashed by 50% and 55%, respectively.” Via @momentummag.bsky.social momentummag.com/paris-proves...

❤️❤️❤️

You shouldn’t need a car to age with dignity. With walkable streets and thoughtful density, people can age in place, staying mobile, social, and part of the community they love.

FLASHBACK: The “Trump Trust Accounts” for babies were a Hillary idea — and Republicans trashed it.

In past 72 hours in the US, 49 people killed by guns, 117 injured by guns, but do you see the media portraying or sympathizing with this devastation NO If you're not rich or of a political sensitivity, you're not important in the United States of America www.gunviolencearchive.org/last-72-hours

To carry 50,000 people per hour in each direction, a city needs a 175m wide road for cars. Even if those cars are electric. And then there’s all the parking. OR a city can move A LOT MORE people in a lot less space, with A LOT LESS public money and pollution. Via UITPnews

It really isn't that hard to look at existing issues and then go see what has been successful in other parts of the world (I am not JUST talking about transportation and traffic deaths)

“A startling statistic emerged in Paris last month: during the morning and evening rush hours, on representative main thoroughfares crisscrossing the French capital, there are now more bicycles than cars – almost half as many again, in fact.” And it has kept growing from there. Leadership. #Paris

“Canada continues to be a powerhouse in clean energy infrastructure.” Canada named 2nd most attractive country for foreign direct investment

In the United States, it is not just oversized SUVs, but also the very large pickup trucks made worse by being jacked up. I am 5'9" and some of these trucks have a hood taller than me!

Freedom of Speech and Expression, is a fundamental human right. To be able to freely criticize your Government is essential for accountability and is the most important part of this freedom. Dissent and criticism are necessary for a healthy democracy. www.amnesty.org/en/what-we-d...

I live in a city that is 64% renters (Montreal, Quebec). It’s a great place to live and I would not call it a “slum”. The idea that rentals aren’t real homes is a shitty thing to say. It’s snobbery dressed up in progressive language about landlords and “exploitation”.

The ICC’s chief prosecutor has lost access to his email, and his bank accounts have been frozen. American staffers at the court have been told that if they travel to the U.S. they risk arrest. NGOs have stopped working with the ICC, the leader of one won’t even reply to ICC emails.

arguing against birthright citizenship in front of the supreme court while at the same time pitching a netflix show where immigrants compete for citizenship is such a perfect microcosm of america right now that it feels fake

People ignoring the fascist takeover of our democracy.

If they'd stop building oversized vehicles, that range could be extended and more practical.

Our friends at @calltoactivism.bsky.social dug up a video of Donald tRump trashing Qatar in 2017 calling them “funders of terrorism.” He likely would hate if this clip changed their mind to give him a $400 million plane - so definitely don’t repost it. 😉

The fastest way to boost active mobility isn’t with multimillion-dollar projects. It’s with simple decisions. Restrict car access, and watch cycling and walking thrive.

Congestion pricing works.

Now this is the kind of physics and engineering talk I liked to have in my classes. Somewhat akin to the "reusable" space shuttle transport system. About 96% of the launch mass was not reused.

My latest Forbes article is all about SUVs. Specifically, it delves into two new research papers - one from traffic engineering, and one from public health - that shows how these increasingly-popular (and increasingly large) vehicles come with major downsides 🧪 www.forbes.com/sites/laurie...

If car commercials were honest, they'd say things like "The new Dodge, from 0 to kill-a-pedestrian in 2.2 seconds."

@thebikinglawyer.bsky.social is on point!!

💰Felon ran for President to stay out of jail. Now, he uses his job as a giant ATM machine for his Children and Himself, while snatching Food, medicine, life saving tax payer programs. His trips to ‘make greasy deals to enrich himself & his ADULT kids. Cut him off our money.

Jesus Christ that 2nd photo. How can you not desperately want that in your neighborhood?

Car dominance isn’t about safety or utility, it’s a bloated industry pushing bigger, deadlier machines under the guise of "freedom". Meanwhile, pedestrians and cyclists are told to "gear up" for their own survival. This is systemic violence, disguised as choice.

Suburbs are drowning in space, yet mobility remains car-dependent. Wide, multi-use paths are cheap, practical, and unlock real freedom for people to move safely. It’s time we stop paving exclusively for cars and start building for people to have real options in local, urban mobility.

Perfect size EV (if you require something bigger than an ebike).
