When I try to make a conversation about the economy or really anything that should matter, they respond, "Both sides are bad..." They speak loudly & fast, and sometimes, I can't get my thought out. But even when I do, I feel like the scientist in Don't Look Up. I'm screaming into the wind. 2/2

I live in the Trumpy part of Maryland, which is a big culture shock from the more progressive part of Maryland where I was raised. People here are cheering Trump's destruction and are in full-blown denial that he is any worse than Biden or Harris. 1/2

Lovely concert at Longwood Gardens by Cyrille Aimeé, part of a French/South American jazz quartet. In these troubling times, we have to grab small slivers of joy. Last night was one of them for me. I've listened to her CD 3 times so far.
