We also say NO to forced outings by schools. Creating an affirming home sometimes takes education and support for the parents. Mama Dragons provides a safe space for mothers of LGBTQ+ kids to find support & ask the questions that only other parents of queer kids would understand. #ItGetsBetter

Our kids need to hear—and feel—our love, support, and affirmation. Whether it's speaking up in public, advocating at school, or simply reminding them at home that they are seen and loved, every word (or silence) sends a message. Let’s make sure ours is one of unwavering love and support. #LGBTQ+ 🩷

The guardrails of the courts are holding- for now. No one is above the law.

As a mother, I’ve learned that the journey of raising an LGBTQ+ child is one only those who’ve lived it can truly understand. Don’t let someone who hasn’t walked your path tell you how to navigate it. You know your child best—trust your instincts, lean into your strength, and move forward with love.

Mama Dragons celebrates the courage it takes to live authentically and define yourself on your own terms. Let’s teach our kids to embrace who they are and empower them to rise above others' expectations. Together, let’s create a world where everyone is free to live their truth 🩷🐉🌈 #BlackHistoryMonth

We all make choices about how we present ourselves—through clothing, hairstyles, and self-expression. Drag isn’t just about performance; it’s a reminder that gender expression is fluid, personal, and beautifully unique. Let’s celebrate the freedom to show up in the world as our authentic selves!

Just a reminder: They tried to erase the #LGBTQ+ community during the AIDS crisis. We came back stronger. They tried to outlaw love w/the marriage amendments. We kept on loving each other until #LOVEwins. This moment is hard but we are resilient. We are stronger together. #NoLGBTQwithouttheT

Trans people are under siege like never before, but there are also amazing champions for trans rights, including today’s special guest Carl Charles, senior attorney for @lambdalegal.bsky.social. www.buzzsprout.com/2082774/epis...

Love isn’t just a feeling—it’s an action. 💜 Justice is love in the streets, in the policies we fight for, in the voices that refuse to be silenced. Tenderness is love in the quiet moments, in the hugs, the listening, the unwavering support. Let’s show up with love in every way we can✨🏳️‍🌈 #LGBTQ

Would it be Stonewall without the T? #Stonewall existed long before the National Park Service added it to their list of historic places and will always embrace their inclusive roots. Just like transgender people have always and will always exist. #WontBeErased #translivesmatter #marshamarshamarsha

Great news from @aclusouthdakota.bsky.social that HB 1201 didn’t pass in the House! These Forced Outing bills are antithetical to supporting LGBTQ+ youth and can create challenging dynamics in their homes. Mama Dragons always advocates for affirming homes. We’re here if mamas need support to do that

Be part of the revolution. See and love your children for who they are. Thank you, Laverne Cox, for your role in making cultural change through your visibility and social insights into the experiences of transgender women of color.✊🏾🌈 @lavernecox.bsky.social #BlackHistoryMonth #MamaDragons

When policies threaten our kids, when injustice steals their safety, when silence enables harm—we rise up. We speak out. We fight back. Not because we hate, but because we LOVE. Because every child deserves a world where they are seen, valued, and protected. #RageIsLoveInAction #MamaDragons

Supporting our queer kids and learning together about all the ways we can show up for them and ourselves is central to our Mama Dragons community. This week’s episode of In The Den dives deep into how we can support and show up for our transgender children from a place of self-reflection and joy!

In times like this we need MORE connection, MORE support and MORE LOVE. If you are the mother of an LGBTQ+ child and need a space to connect with other Mamas - we are here for you. Supporting you as you create / sustain an affirming home is how we keep that light shining bright as we move forward.

No parent should ever be okay with laws that single out or harm any child. Let's stand united, fighting for a world where every child is embraced, celebrated, and protected, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation. #MamaDragons #TransRights #LGBTQrights

We know the transformative power of love. It disrupts fear, breaks down walls, and builds a future filled with hope and acceptance. Let’s keep spreading love boldly—it’s the most powerful way to create change. 💖🐉🌈 #MamaDragons #GeorgeOrwell #1984 #ChooseLove

When harmful anti-LGBTQ+ policies threaten our kids, Mama Dragons steps in and speaks up to protect our kids. We are the match standing strong against injustice. Together, we’ll fight for a world where every child can thrive. 💪❤️ #MamaDragons #ProtectTransKids #InterruptTheHarm #LGBTQ+

@dwaynewade.bsky.social has a similar experience to our families. As mothers of LGBTQ+ kids, we love our kids. We love who they are at their core. We hope their lives are full of joy and opportunities for them to follow their dreams. We advocate for them in all the places decisions are made. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🐉🦄

Just want you to know: You aren’t invisible. You haven’t been erased. You are precious. You are beloved. We love you just as you are.

STRENGTH in UNITY! Alone, we may feel small - but together, we are unstoppable. When we stand as one, we create real change, protect our kids, and build a world where love wins. Keep swimming together, Mama Dragons! #LoveWins #LGBTQ+ #Unity #Organize

NEW: President Donald Trump continued on Tuesday in his efforts to attack the lives of transgender people and to hobble the federal government — failures of both his responsibility to protect Americans and his duty to run the government. Tonight, at Law Dork: www.lawdork.com/p/trump-tran...

Comfort IN, Dump OUT As we head into a new administration, the ring theory is a powerful reminder: support flows inward, and stress flows outward. Our LGBTQ+ kids are at the center—they need our love and reassurance, not the weight of our concerns. #MamaDragons

Critical information from @brittneymac15.bsky.social at @teenvogue.bsky.social for the trans community. For mothers of LGBTQ+ youth,we are here for connection, support, education and empowerment. It’s a scary time for raising a LGBTQ+ kiddo and we are here in a safe space to talk about what matters

This heartfelt note from a young LGBTQ+ person is a reminder of the power of visibility and allyship. Whether it's a flag, a sticker, or simply standing up for love and acceptance, your actions let others know they’re not alone. 💕 #mamadragons #hope #lgbtq+ 📷 Levi Wade

Parenting an LGBTQ+ child teaches us to see the beauty in every hue, the strength in every bend, and the brilliance that comes from embracing individuality. Together, we celebrate the dazzling spectrum of love, identity, and humanity. 💖💛💚💙💜

The deeper work of calling people in to community and saying the things that must be said for the greater good is something that she does so well. The last time I was in that church a rainbow appeared from the light coming in thru the windows. May we always find the light…and the truth.

We are here. Loving our LGBTQ+ children with everything we have. For exactly who they are. Especially in this moment. We aren’t going backwards. How are you doing today?

Neither the stroke of a pen nor the pounding of a gavel can erase transgender people. They have always existed. They always will.

Someone skipped a few chapters in Biology class. Also - if we are invoking Divine design - I urge people to check out the resources regarding intersex people

Today is a stark reminder of two very different visions of what America aspires to be. Are we part of the movement that expels those who don’t look, believe or live the same as we do? Or do we find common ground in the belief that we are all equal & worthy of love, justice & our inalienable rights?

As we move forward into this next week, it’s important to remember to keep focused on what you believe in and are fighting for. If you want more LOVE in the world, don’t focus on hate. If you want more INCLUSION, create space for others to join you. If you want JUSTICE, remember it’s not ‘just us’

As mothers of LGBTQ+ kids (of all ages) we naturally worry about what lies ahead for our children in this moment. We choose LOVE. We choose JOY. We choose AUTHENTICITY. And we will continue to reach out to other mothers who want those things for their children too but need a soft space to learn.

This is such an important report. @interact.bsky.social does such vital work.

It’s Dragon Appreciation Day! Thanks to the over 11,000 Mama Dragons who actively choose LOVE over everything else! We are so grateful for you, your journey and your commitment to making the world a better place. #DragonDay #TheBiggerTheWingspanTheBetterTheHug

The term ‘radical act of optimism’ was used at an awards show recently. We should embrace radical acts of optimism even when things don’t feel so hopeful. Maybe especially when they don’t. We will continue to reach across every aisle to help support, educate and empower mothers of LGBTQ+ children

This sends a message to trans youth is that ‘you don’t belong’. As a mother, that’s not acceptable. If you are a mother of an LGBTQ+ child and need a supportive network of other mothers of LGBTQ+ children to process this kind of thing, we are here. Montana is big enough for everyone to live free.

Ohio parents: If your child’s school outs your child to you and you need a place to process that, Mama Dragons might be just what you need. We support, educate and empower mothers of LGBTQ+ children in moments just like this. www.MamaDragons.org

As state legislatures begin their sessions, we want to remind them to be careful who their legislation hurts, it could be people they actually care about. We see families every day who are torn apart by these anti-LGBTQ+ policies. Let families work this out thru education and support.

In this moment, privacy and security for LGBTQ+ families should be prioritized by any organization that serves the community. And public facing advocacy and allyship should be leveraged by those who have the privilege, capacity and willingness to stand with those who are the most marginalized.

My Mama Dragon heart breathes fire when I see what is happening to Sara McBride. She is a fierce advocate. A trusted colleague. A thoughtful legislator. A responsible elected official. And she is someone's beloved daughter. We will always #FightLikeAMotherForTransRights for our children.

Our In the Den podcast has been amazing lately. We've been stretching our wings a bit and have really been leaning into educating, advocating and celebrating the things that matter... most specifically for our kids. There's some great info here.
