I’m having 2 weeks off and what better way to spend it than by goon to Helsinki, the long way round. Day 1: Utrecht - Hamburg via Amersfoort and Osnabrück. Diverted past Maschen, which was a sight to see in the dark. ☺️ #polcirkel

The once a day Berlin-Paris ICE train is *nice to have* But that’s it It’s 8 hours, so too long for most. It’s once a day Anyone heralding it as “revolutionising travel” or “historic” is totally missing the mark What we NEED: Paris-Frankfurt hourly, all day. That’d be progress!

Het huidige station Utrecht Lunetten bestaat sinds 1980, voor de nieuwbouwwijk uit die tijd. Maar van 1874-1932 was er ook al een station Lunetten. Met een bijzonderheid: het had geen in- en uitgang.. 🤔 (Foto is overigens van veel later - het gebouw heeft er nog tot 1978 gestaan). Een kort draadje.
