Every Thursday, we gather up the prayers written by children on the prayer tree in the children's space @mancathedral.bsky.social. I pray with them during our lunchtime Eucharist My favourite prayer today, written by a 6yr old: 'God please help me to remember how to love others'

Manchester Cathedral has been granted Freedom of the City of Castelo Branco! Yesterday Dean Rogers Govender was presented with the award in Portugal in recognition of our ongoing relationship with the region 🧡

Join us on Passion Sunday 6 April at 2.30pm for a free meditative performance of Joseph Haydn’s The Seven Last Words of our Saviour on the Cross, performed by classical pianist Alessandra Pompili. The performance will be preceded by a meditation by one of the Cathedral clergy.

So much I love about my job @mancathedral.bsky.social, not least the parish walks we've been doing. Every time new people have joined and the conversations have been rich in many ways Today we explored the area of Angel Meadow, talking about its history and, of course, frequenting a local cafe!

A lovely cathedral visitor created a mouse with our @mancathedral.bsky.social colours on it It seems the mouse has found a home scuttling around the children's space - if you are ever in the cathedral see if you can spot it! (The mouse is having a great deal of fun keeping the vergers guessing 🀣🐭)

Manchester Cathedral will close at noon today, Tuesday 11 February, for a funeral service. Those wishing to attend our Holy Communion service at 1.10pm can access the Fraser Chapel only via our east entrance opposite the Corn Exchange. We will be open for Choral Evensong as usual 5.30pm.
