Even without fancy particle effects, collecting crystal shards and enemy loot is already quite satisfying! #screenshotsaturday #screenshotsunday #gamedev #indiedev

All over the surface of the planet, strange tornadoes appear. They are surrounded by a massive wall of dust and seem to be powered by a powerful source of energy. What dangers will await you inside of it? #screenshotsaturday #gamedev

Did we just forget about click workers? Did we really?? Do these people even understand that the hallucinations of fancy applied statistics they call "AI" are built on top of thousands of HUMANS labelling the stolen training data for abysmal wages? When will these HUMANS get HUMAN rights???

While precious resources scatter the lands of our Dual Perspective Strategy & Action game, there are also hives full of angry bugs and critters! Luckily, rockets beat rock! #screenshotsaturday #screenshotsunday #gamedev #indiedev

Sometimes weird stuff happens when reworking what you already have. This time around our screen got sucked into the vortex by the shader gods, they do not seem to listen to our prayers. #gamedev #screenshotsaturday #indiedev

Speaking of bouncing rockets... here are some rocket modules we've been cooking up! The possibilities are endless (if you can't count higher than 27)! #gamedev #screenshotsunday #indiedev

Approaching the storm is a dangerous feat in our drone combat strategy/action game... Although it ain't so hard if you have rockets bouncing all over the place! #screenshotsaturday #gamedev

This is why I hate it when economics bros use "supply and demand" as an excuse for companies doing evil stuff. Who wants this!? Bring me ONE person who would genuinely enjoy playing that. This is nothing but an insult to human art and creativity.

We've prototyped a video showcasing how our planets mega-storm might create different feeling areas. If you don't like sand because it's course, rough and gets everywhere this planet might not be for you... except if you're up for an adventure? #screenshotsaturday

Coder Appreciation Post! One of our coders visualised the data we collected from testings we did and I fricckcking love this! One cube per Restart - can't wait to get back to level design to improve the game based on this data! AAAHHH so EXCITED! #indiegame #gamedev #racinggame

The cockpit of the harvester is the center of your journey in our Dune-inspired survival game. From there you will plot a course across the alien desert, and steer a drone to defend your moving home! #screenshotsaturday #gamedev

Sometimes all you need is to see the world from a different perspective... #GameDev #indiegame

Just finished @okomotive.bsky.social 's FAR: Lone Sail, and I am in awe of the elegance of it's design. It got me into the flow many times, even though all I was doing was pushing buttons and admiring the landscape. It's proof that simple, polished interactions can do so much! (take notes, Manuel)

That looks about right

I know Balatro is one in a million, but somehow the fact that localthunk got scouted by a publisher instead of the other way around gives me comfort. In general, it's nice to read a game industry story with a happy end once in a while...

Grimoire Groves, our magical garden roguelite, is out NOW!! 🌿 Grow enchanted plant creatures 🔮 Craft magical items and learn new spells 🏡 Decorate your home base 🧦 Unravel the mystery of the Rainbow Socks buff.ly/TsPFguF

Heya! ✨ We are looking for a Marketing & Community Manager Freelancer to help us promote Henry Halfhead 👁️ 👃 👁️ - Paid opportunity - Plan, produce and post video content on relevant social media More infos here: docs.google.com/document/d/1... Thank you for sharing!

Saw Mad Max: Fury Road. 10/10, big dust cloud. I loved it when the titular max said: "it's mad maxxing time" and mad maxed all over them (I'm sorry)

Does anyone have some good references for alien creature designs? I'm currently loving Scavenger's Reign for their "what if" approach that results in some really unique creatures. I'd love to find more media similar to that! #gamedev #worldbuilding

Another project released! In Rest in Somnia you play as a douchebag CEO who collects and controls sinful creatures (who might've once been human) using abusive employment contracts! Life imitates art they say... #gamedev #indiegame #creaturecollector gwydi.itch.io/rest-in-somnia

Another style experiment! This time with cel shading and procedural clouds using good ol' #Unity Shadergraph. #screenshotsaturday #gamedev

In my completely unbiased experience, the prototype is a lot of fun! We spent a lot of time polishing the combat and we'll keep building on that foundation. Give us a follow if you want to see where the journey leads us to ^^ #GameDev #indiegame

So do I understand correctly that Bartle's Player types are based solely on his observations in his own game, with no statistical basis whatsoever, and everybody just went with it? I feel like I've seen it presented as fact more than once, and it seems a bit too loosey-goosey for that. #gamedesign

Finally figured out that LUTs exist and how to use them! This is just me messing around in Unity with some assets and postprocessing effects, but it gets me really exited thinking about the possibilities for my upcoming project! #screenshotsaturday #unity #gamedev

It's also a really good excercise to actively reflect on the games you played and why you liked (or disliked) them! Which is great for learning Game Design, so really it's a win-win!

I tried really hard to upload a video, but BlueSky said not today, so have some screenshots in the meantime! #gamedev #indiedev #indiegame

My latest project is on itch! It's a game where you play as a drone protecting a harvester by shooting, retracting and detonating rockets! The game is meant as a combat prototype for our first project at @brainflick.bsky.social! #gamedev #indiedev #indiegame manuelini.itch.io/blight-proto...

Seeing a lot of #promosky posts atm, so I'll give it a shot! Here's what takes up most of my brain: - game dev - video games - digital art, mostly 3D - french horn - classical music - philosophy - the swiss game dev scene - novels of any kind - anime (ping pong the animation = goat)

Opening this starter pack back up! Again this list is HIGHLY CURATED so if your page is indicative of you being an indie game dev or independent artist feel free to comment ALSO requirement to join is you have to SHARE THIS POST 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 #indiedev #gameart #digitalart #solodev #oc go.bsky.app/E8hRoHu
