current political climates have turned even bluesky into a place full of mental stress in the background i work on my own content and work on growing my brand and community; but the more time i spend on social media in general, the more stress i feel. i do what i can but it's a lot to deal with.

Having bigtime "trouble fitting in" feelings again. Coming close to just retreating to my own community and building from there. Feeling like I don't fit in or belong elsewhere.

what do you MEAN Pirate Yakuza has Angry Birds music holy shit what is this game

How would you all cover a game that is interesting but culturally insensitive? Would you censor the coverage by showing only the japanese version (which doesn't contain the insensitivity) and leave the US version as a note? Or would you present it as is, with a warning beforehand like WB cartoons?

I like skipping the opening cutscene and intro movie to every video game. Every journey begins as an amnesiac isekai story where i'm learning where i'm at and who i am through narrative context. Try it sometime, see what games hold up best when you have zero context. It's a fun exercise!

i would love to be a content creator that talks more about lesser-known "bad" games; there's an insane amount of survivorship bias where people remember a console library based on its top hits but tend to forget about other games the culture of gaming includes bad games as well as the all-time hits

with the rising costs of video games and the amount of time it takes to make one; the idea of sequels has changed significantly back in the 90s/early 2000s, games would have a sequel out within a year or year and a half. nowadays it takes 5-10 years and people have to be reminded the game exists
