Trans people, I see you. You’re strong. You know who you are, and that scares weak people.

They are called vaccine-preventable diseases for a reason.

One of my greatest points of professional pride is that I earned my MPH at the same university where Jonas Salk developed the polio vaccine. #hailtopitt

My favorite part of the super bowl is saying “it’s baseball season” when it's over.

Remembering the long ago Super Bowl Sunday when my sister and I ignored the game and went to the Hill Top Steakhouse on Rte. 1 in Saugus

It's hard to know what to say or whether it's even worth adding to the doom - what I will say is buy your trans friends' weird zine, their album, their art game - buy them a beer or a soda or a meal - give them some ko-fi money for doing absolutely nothing. We gotta protect trans kids and adults.

These executive orders on banning federally funded entities from recognizing trans people or disallowing them from using the bathroom are not self-executing or immediately enforceable. They require formal rule making at a minimum. They are a scare tactic. Ignore and do not comply in advance.

I am so impressed with the shawls in this week's #showmeyourknits. I stick to the easier patterns. This one is Curvy Moon, on Ravelry.

Digging through the leftovers for a One Row Wonder shawl. #knitting #yarn
