my endorsement for any democratic presidential candidate who promises to send the entire DOGE team to prison

While on the phone with my twin she started talking to someone else. Apparently, a man passed her on the street and asked if he could ask her a riddle: What do Winnie the Poo, Katherine the Great, and John the Baptist all have in common?

The protests will continue until Musk leaves politics and stops trying to buy elections. #teslatakedown

The federal government plans to eliminate services for LGBTQ youth who call 988, the national suicide and crisis hotline, according to a Health and Human Services budget draft leaked last week.

Global citizens still 100% committed to ruining imbecilic man who tried to ruin democracy.

Republicans in the US Senate.

Authoritarians don’t care whether you voted for them or not.

A colleague at Stanford’s business school used The Stanford Daily to argue—poorly—against DEI. The piece was riddled with historical errors and left one searching for fact, so I broke my public writing hiatus to respond. I hope you’ll read and share the piece. stanforddaily.com/2025/04/22/w...

It's time to double-down on #TeslaTakedown. Double. Down. even after he's gone. No one who has done what he's done should be in any position of power.

This is your source because you know our government will not provide this insight.

I feel like we need to keep saying this because it’s so insane: This is a legal U.S. resident who has been detained for over a month now for his political opinions.

wonder what the secretary of health and human services, FAMOUS ENVIRONMENTAL LAWYER RFK JR, has to say about this

This is by design. Any team that provides oversight or insight has been purged.

You can't report on this garbage without informing readers of the literal identical policy under Hitler. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/21/u...

the deadpan presentation by the newscaster

An Unqualified’s Story Hegseth did the job, power came with ease. But one couldn't stop, it's like he had a disease He added another and another and a sista and her brotha Even added a man who was Atlantic undercover

So this interview lasted 2 hours so this “you’re scaring me” part might seem like an overreaction or fearmongering to someone without that context. There’s a lot of evidence to support my hypothesis that a potential H5N1 pandemic would be worse than COVID.

Welcome to the GOP

Hegseth’s family gets to see war plans but we can’t get basic info about which of our grad students they’re targeting for deportation.

ⓘ your password must contain: - an uppercase letter - a lowercase letter - a number or symbol - the little eye checked so that Pete Hegseth can give it to everyone he adds to the Signal chat

I care less about Signal chats and more about the blacksite offshore concentration camps we're sending random people to without any semblance of a trial, so I'll be interested to see if the national media can rub their bellies and pat their heads at the same time this week. Historically they can't.

Kamala Harris literally called him a fascist during a NATIONAL campaign for president

Costco is bonkers as usual and yet somehow surreal because the valium I have to take for my back kicked in and now nothing, even the pain, doesn’t matter.

Weak strongmen…that’s what our government IS now. It was no mistake. Harvard just fought back. The lesson here…Fight Back.

Mike Johnson doesn’t get nearly enough attention for his role in dismantling democracy. He should be as infamous as Trump and Musk.

what could your bluesky-con be about that could draw 200 people “darthcon” would have dogs to pet and fried potato dishes to sample

Wow. So something positive happened last night. Wow indeed.

This is the impact of Trump, Musk, and Republican cowardice (or as Murkowski put it, fear of losing their job) If there is a next time around, I hope people who voted for a man who said he wanted to be an authoritarian on day one—-I hope they realize their votes (their actions) have consequences.

We were clear from our discussions with experts on authoritarianism back in 2020 that if Trump had a second term he would go after non-profits. That’s what they do.

The president of the United States is a convicted felon. Seems relevant to today’s news. Yet a search of the New York Times website shows the term “convicted felon” hasn’t appeared there since Jan. 23.

DON’T LOOK AWAY! The Trump administration is catapulting us into a data black hole and the consequences could be massive. Halting data collection on drug use, maternal mortality, climate change, more, by @alecmac.bsky.social

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau just got DOGE'd in arguable violation of a court order. Among other things, this might touch of a meltdown in the mortgage market, writes @ddayen.bsky.social: prospect.org/justice/cfpb...

“I want my death to be as strong a statement as my life continues to be. I want my own funeral to be fierce and defiant, to make the public statement that my death from AIDS is a form of political assassination.” — Mark Lowe Fisher, 1992 actupny.org/diva/polfuns...

THIS is a fact.

IMHO both are valid options and it depends on the institution. Also, the latter implies the former should be included if you raze anything. Lastly, as someone who builds programs with accountability always in the Venn diagram, sometimes (not always) razing is required.

Ah

The 12-year-old did a presentation on book bans, which made him angry enough to start yelling at her about porn

i cannot emphasize enough that if you thought trump would bring the war to a close or even make headway on a peace agreement then you are among the dumbest people alive www.washingtonpost.com/world/2025/0...
