Tune of the day: moody modern viol. I have always admired this album which led the way in using the viol in creative ways with effects and pedals - but still melodic and listenable open.spotify.com/track/2ixkVE...

We’re in the bullseye for a fun weekend of all our fav weather hits: large hail, t-storms, and flying patio furniture. Will wait out tornado sirens by working on a shadow puppet show. The storm from Marais’s “Alcyone” with wind, thunder, waves, chaos. #ClassicalMusic #STL

Sad news. The esteemed composer has passed.

German viola da gambist and composer, Abel, was a friend of JS Bach’s son, Johann Christian Bach. In 1764 they founded the famous Bach-Abel concerts, England's first subscription concerts. Hear Abel’s music this Sunday in Canberra. Tickets here - www.trybooking.com/events/landi...

Take 213 seconds to reset your brain. Pause that doom scroll, take a breath, and just listen. Today’s island of sanity is 3-1/2 minutes of a sublime trio by Jean-Marie Leclair. youtu.be/w1l7ulpl6hk?... #ClassicalMusic

Playing electric viol for the opening of a new ceramic exhibition by my dear friend Barbara Campbell-Allen at the Rochfort Gallery. As you can see, the works are amazing. Inspired by Barbara's 9 day rafting trip down Tasmania's remote Franklin River.

Hey, what goes with Trio Tuesday AND rhymes with all the “Dammits!” I’m seeing on timelines? If you said Carl Stamitz, then this one’s for you. Chill the doomscroll for 7 minutes. We’ll fight back. But for now, take 7 minutes to pause, listen, and breathe. #ClassicalMusic
